These batteries are better than the old NiCd ones. Here I just want to talk about the different models of these batteries. The oldest model (that I have seen) is 1200 mAh, the newer one is 1600 mAh and the newest one is 1700 mAh. I bought these Engergizer AccuRechargeable NiMH batteries in the new packaging which says they are 700mAh capacity. That is the highest of all AAA NiMH that I've been able to find.
