This lens is a no brainer. The value for your dollar spent is very high. I read the reviews for both S600 & S700 and chose 600 over 700 as that had better reviews and it's true. The main reason I got it was for its 4x Wide angle zoom and its at night capability. It's an excellent camera if you want to upgrade your existing digital camera for a reasonable price.
