My filter came with a slight nick on the glass. I emailed Amazon and the very next day they ship out a new one for me without me having to do anything else. That is why I will buy something off Amazon instead of a no-name place with a cheaper price. But the filter fits and works as promised on my Nikon D60.

This filter is great, it does absolutely nothing, which is just what I want. I screwed it onto the end of my nikor 18-200mm vr lens and it fits perfectly and prevents dust from getting on my actual lens so i can clean the filter with no worries.

Excellent value for a reasonable price
I bought this filter to keep sand and dust out of my Sigma 20mm 1:1.18 EX DG Aspherical lens. It does a great job of that and has slightly improved the clarity of full sunlight shots to boot.
I'd buy a Tiffen lens filter again in a heartbeat.

This is top quality workmanship!
This is top quality workmanship! The carry bag is OK but the filters are excellent. The bag does the job but isn't spectacular. The filters on the other hand are quality. I would only buy Tiffen or the camera manufacturer's filters. Those are much more expensive though. I think the Tiffen's do the job.

If I am not using another filter, I find it judicious to leave a UV filter on my lenses. The price was good, so I bought this online to go with my nice fast 1.4 Pentax lens. Putting the filter on prevents finger prints, oils, dust, scratches degrading the new lens (unless your lens is "into" being degraded as are some humans near Folsom St. in San Francisco).
