Essential Guitar: 33 Guitar Masterpieces28 reviews
Essential Guitar: 34 Guitar Masterpieces

Decca, 2002

Great
I got this for my mom whose family were from Spain a few generations back. She went last fall and loved it. I heard about the album as a premium on my local Public radio. I had already done my pledge so I got this here. My mom loves it and I liked it so much I burned a copy for myself too. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.

Essential Mozart: 32 Of His Greatest Masterpieces25 reviews
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Neville Marriner, ...

Decca, 2001

Good times
I just cant say enough about this collection. It used to be that you had to spend a fortune to get Mozart's best hits; a few on each album. Now, you can buy them all at once and dirt cheap! very nice

Beethoven: Greatest Hits4 reviews
Ludwig van Beethoven, Colin Davis, ...

DON'T HESITATE TO BUY THIS CD
What can I say other than this is a great CD. Beethoven was a master and his music will live forever. Altough I don't like every single symphony he composed, I love all the pieces on this album. These selections have "fire and passion," and I listen to them over and over again. Enjoy!!

The Most Famous Opera Duets38 reviews
Eberhard Wächter, Georges Bizet, ...

EMI Classics, 1994

Don't let the low price fool you!
This CD is magnificent, especially for people just getting into opera. I've never really been interested in opera before, but I've recently started listening to it and wanted a CD of my own to listen to. When I bought this, I was a little wary of the low price, and I wondered what the quality would be (mostly quality of the content). Let me tell you, it is magnificent! There are so many ...

Andre Rieu - 100 Years of Strauss19 reviews
Andr Rieu

Denon Records, 2003

Passing Andre Rieu through the generations
I first experienced an Andre Rieu concert through PBS. I ordered "Live in Vienna" to share with my grandson, who is only three. He now LOVES Andre Rieu. He has learned all the instruments, stands on the table and conducts, and watches the two hour "Live In Vienna" in its entirety, (2hrs) several times a week. He enjoys watching the DVD by himself. Because it has become a passion of his, he is ...

The Most Relaxing Piano Album in the World...Ever!17 reviews
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, ...

EMI Classics, 2001

Relaxing Music Suited For Today's Busy Lifestyles
"A vast and tender calm Seems to descend from the sky Lit by the moon This is the exquisite hour" ~ Paul Verlaine ~ The above quote is taken from a poem by 19th Century Fench poet Paul Verlaine titled "La Bonne Chanson No. 6." His words fittingly describe the ambience of this classical album which promises unruffled musical moments just perfect for unwinding and relaxing, or when you're ...

Mozart: The Piano Concertos [Box Set]17 reviews
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jeffrey Tate, ...

Philips, 2006

This recording is simply sublime!
This is simply the best interpretation of Mozart's Piano Concertos I've ever heard! I own three different sets and in my humble opinion this is the Holy Grail as far as recordings of Mozart Piano Concertos. Uchida's fingers (touch on the keys) work and finesse the pieces played into a musical tour de force. She truly does bring these pieces of music to life. I have listened to every piece ...

Bach for Babies: Fun and Games for Budding Brains8 reviews
Johann Sebastian Bach, Barry Rose, ...

Philips, 1999

Bach and Roll!
You can't beat Bach. If classical music is the thing you want for your baby, get this CD. If you are single and have no kids, but classical music is your thing, get this CD. This is fantastic reading music, study music (regardless of what you're studying), and just plain relaxing music. I also highly recommend the CD, BUILD YOUR BABY'S BRAIN 1.

Mozart: Clarinet Concerto - Clarinet Quintet7 reviews
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Stolzman, ...

RCA, 2010

Gorgeous performances of great music
The clarinet concerto was the last work which Mozart completed (his final work, the Requiem, was left unfinished) and, thus, represents Mozart at the height of his extraordinary skills. It is an exceptionally beautiful piece of music and I have never heard it played as beautifully as on this CD. Some listeners may say that Stoltzman's performance is too "Romantic" for the Classical period within ...

Sleepy Baby9 reviews
Donald Crockett, Anonymous, ...

Brainy Baby, 2003

Perfect
We love this CD for our 12 week old. She has trouble sleeping well and this CD is perfect for soothing her as part of her sleep routine. The music is gentle and the melodies are clear. The volume is consistent, which is really important - it never startles her. There are also very short gaps between songs so there is no distracting silence. Lovely!

Bach for Breakfast: The Leisurely Way to Start Your Day14 reviews
Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, ...

Philips, 1995

Coffee ? Eggs ? Bacon ? Bach ?
This recording is a delightful morning brew of Bach's most beautiful and atmospheric instrumental music, even making use of an instrument that most music scholars forget he even wrote music for - the harp, as in the SLonatas for Flute, Harp and Cello, which on this recording, sound positively radiant coming from the likes of Sir Neville Marriner's Academy of St Martin In The Fields or the English ...

Mozart for Relaxation8 reviews
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Eduardo Mata, ...

RCA, 1999

Very Relaxing
I love this CD! I listen to it every time my world feels like it's about to spin out of control because I have too much to do and not enough time to do it. Very calming and serene. My 12 year old daughter now knows who Mozart is and can recognize his music on the radio!

Bach: Greatest Hits10 reviews
Johann Sebastian Bach, Christian Pezold, ...

Sony, 1994

Teeming with classics
I purchased this for track #10, which I'd happened to hear on the radio...it stayed in my head until I tracked down the CD. I have a relatively basic working knowledge of classical music, so this long playing collection was an excellent and surprising introduction to several of Bach's diverse works...both well known and more obscure. Certainly a worthwhile addition to your classical collection.
