Beautiful Choral Christmas Music
This is, basically what it says, classic Christmas music done by a good choir and a wonderful organist. The sound is great, the choir is dead on, and the music is beautiful and traditional.....no surprises here.....good or bad. Plus, it's eight bucks for essentially what is a two disc set.....fifty three songs. If you are looking for a nice traditional Christmas album, you could do a whole ...

An awesome musical experience
I believe that Luciano far exceeded Caruso. His voice reached out to everyone, except for that unfortunate foray into the "Georgio" film. He presented his music with a marvelous flair for detail. We shall miss him, so much.

At last, Pollini's long-awaited WTC...a revelatory performance
I've been waiting for several decades to hear Pollini play the WTC, which he began to include on programs in the 1970s but has never played in my hometown of Boston. The thing about this WTC is that it is unlike any other you've ever heard, including Gould, Gulda, Richter, Schepkin, Schiff, Hewitt, Fellner, Ashkenazy, Aldwell, Barenboim, Tureck, and Fischer. There is a remarkable purity about it ...

Positively Magnificant
Just purchased the CD today and absolutely love it. Not so sure about the "Jingle Bells" , but The Lord's Prayer is BREATHTAKING and brought me to tears. Andrea is I believe the most gifted tenor of today and I look forward to hearing more from him and seeing him again in concert. Bravo Andrea!

A sound that quenches the thirst of the soul!
I have played the Debussy: Clair de lune & Other Piano Favorites so much, that I can pick out any Debussy from a variety of music. It is great to listen to when I am reading, studying, or even cleaning house. The music is so relaxing and serene. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Great soothing music!
The greatest soothing music for my 20 month old son and my 4 year old nephew to fall asleep. We use it so much that I had to buy a new cd and so had my sister. I give it as gifts and all the children have loved the music. The Most Soothing Lullabies In The Universe

YO YO MA'S SIMPLY BAROQUE IS SIMPLY... WONDERFUL !
The Baroque Period in Europe originated in the early 17th century and reached it's peak in the early 18th century. The English word "baroque" is translated from the Italian "barocco", meaning "bizarre". "Passionate" is probably more like it. Johann Sebastian Bach is the most celebrated of the Baroque composers, although George Frederick Handel and Antonio Vivaldi are also famous for their Baroque ...

Surely you don't need me to review the guy. You know who he is, you've heard his music, and I hope you own some. So let me turn the podium over to a cat named Picasso, and you can read into that whatever you wish. She's in a chair, near the CD player. She has entered the room specifically for the music. Her eyes are squinted, almost but not quite shut, little face concentrating on just how ...

A good set for a good price
When I was growing up, I was exposed to mostly classical music including Chopin. I remember my parents having RCA recordings of Arthur Rubinstein playing the Waltzes, Mazurkas and Polonaises. Out of the all Chopin performers, the greatest was Arthur Rubinstein followed (very closely) by Vladmir Horowitz. This being said, the CD set has transcribed well and remastered in digital format ...

Incredible
This album is absolutely amazing. It gave me a new-found appreciation for Rachmaninoff's music. Etude Tableau, Op. 33, No. 2 in C Major is a wonderful display of his talent and power behind a piano, and Prelude, Op. 3, No. 2 in C-Sharp Minor is an amazing example of how he can tell such a detailed story with no words and 88 keys. I could not stop listening to it. Zenph is doing things I could ...
