I used to keep my MacBook in a Neoprene case, but once purchasing the Macally Protection Shell I have felt safe enough just slipping my MacBook in my backpack. It looks nice, feels good, and has protected my computer from scratches. The temperature runs 1 degree Fahrenheit higher on average, but the case shields your lap from the heat. Definitely worth it.
