Bigger than expected
Works well after a month. Portable, so powered from USB. I had a Western Digital portable hard drive before. Its width and length is around the same, but the height is half of this Seagate. It seems to me it has two hard drive in it actually, but I didn't opened it to verify it. It was a surprise for us how bulky it is.

I read the reviews for a number of the Elgato products and finally settled on this one. It is very easy to set up and use. Within a couple of minutes, I have the video from my Dish DVR on my MacBook Pro and I can either import it into iMovie for editing or dump into a .mpeg file.
