4 1/2 Stars for Blu-ray
I am personally not a fan of The Godfather Part III, I don't even regard it as part of the trilogy. This review is only for Parts I-II. These films have been restored to what Paramount claims to be "the best they'll ever look." I agree with them about 95% on this statement. Here's why: On both films (especially Part I), there are a few instances of white specks and minor print defects. ...

Excellent in nearly every way, except as a Godfather film
I can't rave enough about this film. A stellar cinematic achievement. Its only fault is being the third part of the trilogy. It can't compare to the other films. I and II consistently rank among top ten films ever. This isn't in the top ten films ever. Certainly, it ranks amongst the top 20 percent. (I'd probably put it in the top one percent of all films. Too much has been made of this ...

Good surprise.
Got this as a gift from a friend, took it out of its bag and thought it was just Ocean's 13 in a special edition box (due to the placement of 11 and 12). That alone would be great, but it doesn't compare to realizing I just can't read, and that all three are here. 5 stars for the product, 0 for my logic.

Classic fast-paced movie
love this movie... good storyline, good acting and continuous action that keeps you on the edge of seat. Poetic justice ending also makes this part of any classic thriller collection.

Not great, but not terrible, either
I know there are a lot of negative reviews out there of Ocean's Twelve. While I think it's the weakest movie of the trilogy, I don't think it's terrible. There are things about it that I don't like, but there are also things about it that I like, and these positive things make the movie watchable and enjoyable, at least for me. First, the negative aspects of the film. There are three major ...

A film of substance
If you like light weight films like "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle "or "Pineapple Express", this film is not for you." The Air I Breath" is a film that explores how our actions affect others, in ways, that we can not begin to imagine. The film follows what happens when a man take an unforseen action that ends in tragety for himself, but ultimately ends in joy for another, through a series ...

Subjective 5 Stars
I'm a big fan of the musician Cachao, whom Andy Garcia worked with a lot before Cachao passed away. Really, Andy was the guy who brought Cachao back from semi-retirement to make what are a couple of masterpieces of Cuban music, See Cachao, Master Sessions Vol. 1 and 2. I can't say I've ever been a big fan of Andy Garcia though. That being said, I absolutely loved this movie, everything ...

Great Andy Garcia performance
Alice Green (Meg Ryan) and her husband, Michael (Andy Garcia) are a happily married young couple, until Alice's secret drinking problem is exposed. Alice goes to rehab and when she comes home, she and Michael don't know how to act with one another without the help of alcohol. This is a really good romantic drama dealing with the terrible ways alcoholism affects a couple and their young ...

How does a blind man paint?
The question is asked of the artist, Modigliani, by his lover, Jeanne Hebuterne while the two ride a streetcar in Paris. Moreover, it is an appropriate one considering Modigliani's life. He sleepwalks through life mostly oblivious to opportunities for exaltation and abasement alike. Although the artist is dying of TB, he continues to drink, smoke, and take opium. He is also blind to ...

This is a great movie with an outstanding cast! Richard Gere is a man you love to hate. Andy Garcia and Nancy Travis are incredible in this film and make you feel every emotion that they experience. I definitely recommend this edge of your seat, yell at your tv movie to everyone that loves the classics.

Suspenseful Love Story, one of my favorites
I had never heard of this movie until last week. I love it! It is now one of my favorite movies. I will definitely watch it again. Kenneth is great. My husband is a fan of his, but not of love stories. My husband thinks his performance is excellent! I am a big fan of Emma Thompson and she is great as usual. If you like suspense mixed with love, this is for you. If you like Gaslight ...

"Pardon The Vulgarity"
The first time I have seen this film was over ten years ago, and recently it been nagging me out of nowhere. I have spent quite some time in getting this film on DVD, which is not available in an open market. Then, yesterday, I finally got a chance to see it once more. Once again, it did not disappoint me as I really enjoyed watching this movie. It is both humorous and full of good drama. And, ...

Don't ask for the "buckwheat" pancakes...
See the movie, and you'll understand the reference. An often overlooked movie that has a lot of special acting roles. A MUST see for any one who likes crime/gang/ action/drama/love movies. Wonderful work by A Garcia, and Chris Walken is memorably evil as the "Man with the Plan". All around great flick - you'll be quoting lines from this one for a while, and Gabrielle Anwar - wow! This movie might not have won any awards or gotten praise by these high brow snobs but its still an excellent piece of work directed by Bill Duke(who stared in Commando, Predator, Exit Wounds, National Security and Busta Rhymes' Dangerous video) with excellent performances from an all-star cast.
