For the Fans
If you loved the first Cannonball then you'll love the second; in fact if you liked the "Smokey and the Bandit" movies then you like "Cannonball." In my humble opinion, this is a good movie, not a great movie. One that you can watch over and over again, but won't neccessarly be your first choice when picking one out. If you're a fan or this era of movie or Burt Reynolds then you should get ...

Borsalino and Co ??? Title?
A great movie - real action - captures the period - authentic - unlike Hollywood plastic products. Best with French dialogue - English subs. Importatn to remember it's the follow on from Borsalino - essential to see that first.

"Eye Patches by Tony Mack"
"Reel Horror" is one of the most odious films ever made. It is dreadful beyond all ability to comprehend. I knew that I was in trouble when the opening credits announced "A Ross Hagen Film" and "Conceived and Directed by Ross Hagen." You may be familiar with Ross Hagen for his role in "Sidehackers" (made famous by MST3K) as "Rommel". Eventually Rommel was shot in the back in "Sidehackers", which ...

The good, the bad and the indifferent
At times it's hard to know quite what to make of Hustle. There's certainly a good film in there, but there's also a bad one as well and Robert Aldrich doesn't make the two into something entirely cohesive. Joseph Biroc's photography is somewhat schizophrenic too. The police station interiors and night shots look great with a classic neo-noir look to them with their deep blacks, but some of the ...

Dukes of Hazzard Movie Collection
My kids love these movies. They watch them over and over. My husband and I enjoyed them too. They took us back to a time when there were many "family-friendly" TV shows to watch.

Cimino first triumphant debut...
The very first shot of "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" - a faultless composition, fifty per cent wispy Idaho sky, fifty per cent cornfield - establishes an elegant style which Cimino maintains throughout the film... The second scene - Clint Eastwood as we have never seen him before, wearing spectacles, his hair slicked back and dressed as a vicar delivering a sermon in a crowded country church - ...

Chemistry and Charisma
Richard Norton and Cynthia Rothrock co-starred in movies before "Rage and Honor", such as Samo Hung's "Millionaire's Express", but "Rage" established the charismatic pair as the Bogie and Bacall of martial arts movies. The chemistry of the two leads is undeniable in this swiftly entertaining actioner about an Australian (Norton) set up falsely for a murder charge in L.A. Norton's pursuit for ...

Crazed is fuzzy
This is a good film, but unfortunately, the picture quality of the dvd is not what we have come to expect. The picture is fuzzy and looks like it was copied from a poor video tape. Leslie Caron looks as radiant and beautiful as ever. It's too bad the images are not sharp and clear.

Tommy Lee Jones; Catherine Bach

abstractions abound
Somewhat of a period piece, using experimental techniques that seem both dated and creative. The narrative is loose, the imagery is dreamlike and some of the shots are amazingly beautiful. The story line is fragmented concerning a young woman's search for love and her destiny using aspects of her astological chart. A frustrating film that i mulled over like a puzzling dream, Tommy Lee Jones ...
