Forget Paris25 reviews
Marv Albert, Charles Barkley

Turner Home Ent, 2000

Romanticism has its own limits!
A romantic comedy, that deals with the end of the honeymoon and shows where the real marriage begins. Billy Cristal and Debra Winger add substance and spices to this classic comedy of mistakes around the figure of a Basket trainer who must leave as a modern gypsy. To my mind one of the last original comedies in the nineties.

Kindergarten Cop56 reviews
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Penelope Ann Miller

Universal Pictures, 1998

Absolutely delightful film...successful blend of different genres
Crime drama, romance, comedy, CUTE kids (the comedic and cute kids elements often blended together in a *kids say the darndest things* format) - all of these parts make up a satisfying and sweet-natured film! Loved it.

Foxfire108 reviews
Hedy Burress, Angelina Jolie

Sony Pictures, 2000

In your face and gripping
Just a great movie. A breath of fresh air, because unlike most of the films about girls, boys or men are the center of everything and this film focused on the relationships and love between the girls, and it accurately portrays the feelings of lost, uncontented teens who know that there has to be something more. The funny sequences in this movie are almost too funny- A couple of the people ...

Raging Bull (Special Edition)218 reviews
Robert De Niro, Cathy Moriarty

MGM (Video & DVD), 2005

Scorcese and DeNiro's Best Work - How can a film about such ugly people be so beautiful?
This definitely isn't your average feel-good, stereotypical, underdog boxing movie. After all, Sly Stallone was the sole owner to the keys to that kingdom four years prior w/ his beloved "Rocky". In fact, this film really isn't about boxing at all (although there's a plethora of savage, short fight scenes throughout), its intentions and focus are much more intricate. "Raging Bull" is a ...

The Mambo Kings33 reviews
Armand Assante, Antonio Banderas

Warner Home Video, 2005

In The Name Of The Mambo, The Rumba And The Cha-Cha-Cha
While the film THE MAMBO KINGS is not as detailed or insightful as Oscar Hijuelos's novel THE MAMBO KINGS PLAY SONGS OF LOVE which won the 1990 Pulitzer prize it is still an excellent entertaining film. The most striking feature of the movie is how well it makes 1950's Cuban American life in upper Manhattan live again complete with wonderful mambo and other Latin music of the period and even a ...

Soapdish55 reviews
Sally Field, Kevin Kline

Paramount, 2001

One of the great romantic comedies
Comedy is a dicey business. For some, it isn't funny unless it's current and political. To others it's all about how people get along together. Luckily, this movie gives everyone a chance to laugh. While this is a romantic comedy, with all of the usual "boy meets/rejects/gets rejected by/reunites with girl" plots, it is also a timeless look at the business of television, soap operas in ...

Crazy in Alabama24 reviews
Melanie Griffith, David Morse

Sony Pictures, 2000

Crazy in Alabama - One of my favourite movies
"Crazy in Alabama" is one of the best films I've ever seen, combines with great ability two different stories, one of Civil Rights and other about Lucille, who killed her husband , put his head into a bag and went to Hollywood to become a TV star. I think Antonio Banderas directed this film perfectly and Melanie Griffith does one of her best movies. I watch this movie from time to time and I ...

The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag8 reviews
Penelope Ann Miller, Eric Thal

Walt Disney Video, 2003

Delightfully Smooth and Fun
This flick suprised me as I was not expecting much. And I did not get much, but what I got was light, fun, well acted, and well-written with likeable, attractive and believable characters. It is good for an evening in with popcorn. Laughs in several places and some suspense.

Analyze That (Widescreen)67 reviews
Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal

Warner Home Video, 2004

"Analyze That" Review
I don't see the deal with everyone saying it's a bad movie. It's not bad at all, infact I almost perfer Analyze That over Analyze This. If you haven't seen this, I'd reccomend atleast renting it. It doesn't have as many 'laughing out loud' parts, but it still is a great comedy.

Dream With the Fishes14 reviews
David Arquette, Brad Hunt

Sony Pictures, 2003

I want everyone (reading this) to know....
This is the best film I've seen in a LONG time. (about a year or so). I honestly don't participate in many reviews, but i just finished viewing this film and felt that it deserves a review. I bought this film on Amazon (used) for a couple bucks (about 8 bucks incl. s+h) based on the positive reviews from viewers, and let me tell you it was WELL worth every cent. (I would of paid 3 times that ...

Allumination, 2005

P.U.N.K.S.
It took a long time to decide to buy this film despite being a long time Jessica Alba fan even she was not impressed with her work here. My daughter convinced me and thought it was a super film hence the rating. Miss Alba steals the show despite her accent which I think she should have avoided...but she was probably the most real actor in the show. My children enjoyed the film and recommeneds.

Cop Land (Exclusive Director's Cut) (Miramax Collector's Edition)62 reviews
Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel

Miramax Home Entertainment, 2004

Fantastic urban drama backed by an all-star cast
Cop land seems to be under appreciated now after being out on the shelves a few years, and it is truly a shame. This movie has some shock value in a couple of areas, and those dynamics were crucial for its initial success in telling a compelling, character driven story that is wrought with suspense and action. The first of these things is the performance of Sylvester Stallone as Sheriff Freddy ...

Casper Meets Wendy29 reviews
Billy Burnette, Clay Crosby

20th Century Fox, 2002

I FINALLY found it!!!
My 4-year old son was thrilled when "Casper Meets Wendy" arrived at our door. We had been looking for it in every store known to man since last Halloween (when he first saw it)! I'd given up hope until it dawned on me to check Amazon.com. Wish I had done it sooner, that's for sure! The DVD came sooner than I expected, if you can believe that, was in perfect condition and was thouroghly enjoyed ...
