The Polar Express: 3-D1 review
Tom Hanks, Leslie Zemeckis

Warner Home Video, 2008

OK. Is it or is it not, in 3D?
I saw the movie in an IMAX theatre and enjoyed it a great deal. I'm a 60 year old man who watched the House of Wax, Charge at Feather River, Hondo, etc., in 3D when they first were released, in the 1950s. I love the process and am happy that more movies are getting duplicated in 3D for the big screen...and the little ones too. The description, for both the standard and Blu-Ray version, ...

Renewing My Views On Christmas
Aside from all the materialistic views Christmas brings, one thing always brings fond memories. Great holiday themed movies, younger generations have a trouble seeking any true modern classics. The Polar Express is finally the pivotal film needed. The story is rather simple, but the innocence it brings fourth is amazing. Characters of all different backgrounds converge on an adventurous trip to ...

Welcome To Western Civilization" ~ Character, Ethics And Winning At All Costs
The '02 cinematic release `The Emperor's Club' is a gentle, intelligent and at times profound morality tale that teaches us the importance of understanding the past so we may fully embrace the present and contribute to the future. Kevin Kline is superb as Mr. Hundert, instructor of Roman and Greek History. As he strives to instill within the students of St. Benedict's Boy School the ...

Great Movie
The comic book is really great and the movie trys to equal that greatness and fails; however, as a stand alone movie it is very excellent. I just hope they keep making other Spawn movies (with the length between the only one and present day I would have to say we aren't going to get another). This is just another repackage of the movie from years ago. The only difference is the Director's ...

It is like going back in time!
I love this movie...I love it because it lets me go back to 'visit' my Grandmother, who I miss every day of my life. But when I am watching this movie, I am somehow with her again, even if only for a few moments. It also lets me be a 'kid' again...remembering a time long gone by, but never quite forgotten. For me, this is a movie sprinkled with tears but rich with wonderful memories of yesterday. ...

Rumble Fish (Special Edition)68 reviews
Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke

Universal Studios, 2005

Never will there be a movie like this
I give this movie A++. The black and white effects are really cool. All effects were done by hand, no generic computer special effects. Most importantly, the writing and story was excellent with poetic tones. I feel in love with this movie and it will always be one of my favorites.

you can't make a foo yung without breaking eggs
This looked like a good idea at the time when I rented it. The story looked good replete with Asian actors and not animation. The proof of the pudding lies in the eating however, and in this case gave me some indigestion. Clearly of asian origin this is low budget hollywood at it's worst. Trying to mimic Martian Arts movies on the cheap is not the best idea anybody ever had and coming up with ...

Postal (Director's Cut)17 reviews
Zack Ward, Dave Foley

Vivendi Entertainment, 2009

Irreverent and crude -- excellent!
OK, let's be honest. If you are a very politically correct person then you are not going to be watching Postal. If you are easily offended or belong to any racial group or human demographic (because Ewe has something offensive for everyone!) then you can find some way to be outraged by Postal. Ewe leaves nothing sacred in this movie from lampooning religion to positing a connection at ...

Great Comedy! Daphne Zuniga is beautiful and very perfect!
A great comedy for all! A very good movie feature Jack Wagner, Daphne Zuniga and Zack Ward. The story is original and the movie is enough well made! Story: Kyle's a police officer, and his partner is his dog, Hunter. Hunter gets killed in the line of duty, and his spirit comes back in the body of a criminal named Howie. Howie, with the spirit of Hunter in him, helps Kyle in solving a dastardly ...

What you will not learn in film school
I watched this video twice on cable and now purchased the DVD so I can go back to it when I need inspiration. I have taken a number of film classes but they never teach you about guts and what it takes to make a great film. Here you will find that fire in the belly that it takes to make the next great film. A great experience for any aspiring film maker; or for anyone who wants to stand out ...

Sony Pictures, 2004

SIN WAS A GOOD MOVIE!
A RETIRED DETECTIVE [VING RHAMES] GOES BACK TO UNDERCOVER TO CATCH A SADISTIC CRIMINAL [GARY OLDMAN]. THINK OF IT AS A DEATH WISH-TYPE MOVIE. THE MOVIE HAS GOOD ACTING, GOOD ACTION, AND A THRILLING STORY. I THINK EVERYBODY DID A GOOD JOB IN THIS MOVIE. SURE, IT'S NOT ALWAYS ON THE MONEY, BUT, IT IS AN ENTERTAINING MOVIE. AS ALWAYS, VING RHAMES PLAYS THE TOUGH GUY AND HE DOES A GOOD JOB AT IT TOO. ...
