Dragon Ball Z - Season Two (Namek and Captain Ginyu Sagas)56 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

Funimation, 2007

Season II
Well this is a great addition to a DBZ fan's collection. On the single DVD's they had a really cool song that was replaced by the original Japanese start song, which is worse in my opinion. I have also heard some reviewers saying something about widescreen black bars, but on mine you could resize it so the video takes up 90% of the screen and the bars take up 10%. Also while the "next time on ...

Dragon Ball Z Double Feature - Tree of Might / Lord Slug (Steelbook)2 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

Funimation Prod, 2008

Awesome
I got an early copy. I remember seeing Lord Slug long ago once, it was in bad quality. I'm really glad I got to see a remastered version, great color, sound, everything. If you love DBZ, you'll love these two. Tree of Might is great classic DBZ.

Dragon Ball Z Double Feature - Dead Zone / World's Strongest (Steelbook)6 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

Funimation, 2008

Awesome!!!
It's awesome to know FUNImation is giving the same treatment to the movies as they are to the TV series. Now, I know a lot of people have been complaining and protesting the decision to make DBZ widescreen. But it's not the end of the world. I mean, sometimes the crops don't make that huge of a differance a majority of the time. Besides, it makes the whole viewing experience seem like a movie. ...

Dragon Ball Z: Movie 5 and 61 review
Dragon Ball Z-Movie 5 & 6

Funimation Prod, 2008

Hope they keep the metal soundtrack for Cooler's Revenge.
It's great to see FUNImation giving the movies and specials the same remastering treatment as they are giving the TV series. I just hope they don't get rid of the soundtracks they originally had for Cooler's Revenge (Disturbed, Drowning Pool, American Pearl, etc.) That made the movie (and Lord Slug) all the more better.

Dragon Ball Z - Season Five (Perfect and Imperfect Cell Sagas)29 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

Funimation Prod, 2008

Dragon Ball Z Season 5
There is a reason Dragonball Z is one the world's most favorite animes. The series is awesome. The only problem with this DVD is that it stops way too short. For those looking to see the end of cell, sorry that is Season 6. Regardless, this series is the best.

Dragon Ball Z: Season Seven (Great Saiyaman & World Tournament Sagas)5 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

Funimation Prod, 2008

Nice to see FUNImation not wasting time.
The Season Six boxset hasn't been released yet and already FUNImation is planning the release of Season Seven (from what I gather will include the Great Saiyaman and World Tournament sagas). Although the two forementioned sagas are the weakest of the entire series IMHO, it's nice to see they're getting this set out in time for Christmas instead of waiting until February as the past release ...

Dragon Ball Z: Season Six (Cell Games Saga)15 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

Funimation Prod, 2008

Towards the Future
FUNimation release or not, I've been anticipating the Cell Games for months now: at last, the Z warriors step into the ring to take down the haughty Cell (Norio Wakamoto, turning in an almost beastly performance). Although Z is reputed to be somewhat of a WWF-esque slugfest in the States - and perhaps deservedly so - this arc pulls no punches in regards to the emotional wringer that ...

Piccolo wishes to be young again at the start, so this entire set will be about Goku's encounters with an even stronger King Piccolo then the last one. In these 11 episodes, Goku drinks the Mystic Water and then has a showdown with King Piccolo himself. This doesn't happen until after King Piccolo takes over the world. Dragon Ball Z: First Strike movie box set12 reviews
Dragon Ball Z

FUNimation Productions, 2006

Good Stuff
This is a really great set. I am probably the only one who is bothered by this though: The dialogue. I hate watching the movie in japanese because of Goku's little girl voice, but dislike the dialogue that is in english because it is not as good as what the Japanese version says. I dunno. Its just me. But I Wish the english version just could have stuck with the japanese script instead of ...

Dragon Ball Z - Cell Games - A Moment's Peace2 reviews
Dragon Ball Z-Cell Games

Funimation Prod, 2004

Not much action but still good
This DVD does lack the action of the other episodes but in a way, it's a nice breather. There is a brief series of action in the middle episode so it isn't completely lacking. However, it is probably one of my favorite set of episodes simply because of the character interaction. You get a look into the past with Gohan and see the bond between him and his father more which I love. Recommended ...
