Batman Begins (Two-Disc Special Edition)1118 reviews
Christian Bale, Mark Boone Junior

Warner Home Video, 2005

Thank God they started over from scratch.
The original batman? Michael Keeton couldn't pull off being a leading man or a toughguy. Nicholson just annoys the living *%$#%@ out of me. Batman returns? Boring, it dragged, didn't hold my interest. And the penguin was just not an interesting enough bad guy. The third one is probably the only one I can stand to watch with both eyes open. It's loud and obnoxious, and it strays too much ...

The Fifth Element Ultimate Edition, Woohoo!!! - The Diva Interview is Priceless !!
Alright, there are hundreds of 5* reviews on this badboy so no need to re-invent the wheel here. I just want to say that having 2 disks, one for the movie itself and the other for all the extras is brilliant. Even previews are housed on the second disk so you get the original in its pure, unadulterated form right off the bat. Still the extras are awesome! Of note would have to be the interview ...

It is the finest blades that are most easily blunted, bent or broken ...
Eulogy delivered by Franz Grillpazer in the Wahring Cemetery at the Maestro's funeral: Ludwig van Beethoven, the man who inherited and increased, the immortal fame of Handel and Bach of Haydn and Mozart is now no more. He was an artist. And who will stand beside him? He was an artist. And what he was, he was only through music. The thorns of life ...

Leon - The Professional (Deluxe Edition)440 reviews
Jean Reno, Gary Oldman

Sony Pictures, 2005

Besson's best film
After her drug-dealer father and family are murdered, 12 year-old Matilda (Natalie Portman) is effectively adopted by Leon (Jean Reno), the nice man in the apartment next door who just happens to be a hit-man. Leon then proceeds to teach Matilda his trade so that she can exact revenge on her family's killers. "Leon" is one of the most unusual films that I have ever seen and also one of the ...

Air Force One245 reviews
Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman

Sony Pictures, 1998

Get Off of my plane
Air Force One DVD Air Force One starring Harrison Ford is one of my favorite movies for all the wrong reasons. First it shows you what an U. S. President ought to be: - An Honorably discharged veteran (in the movie he had won the Congressional Medal of Honor) - Brave ( he chose to stay behind and fight the terrorist who had hijacked the plane) - A man of action, not just words. Glenn ...

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead155 reviews
Gary Oldman, Tim Roth

Image Entertainment, 2005

YES!
I believe it was Joe Orton, play write, that said, "I wish I'd written that!" upon seeing this play in England, in the 60's. I feel the same. Tom Stoppard at his hysterical best. Hamlet fans, have fun,[except for the whinny dude playing Hamlet], Gary Oldman, always fantastic. Tim Roth, perfect. Richard Dreyfuss....not so much. One,[or two], miscasts won't spoil it for you, though.

JFK - Director's Cut (Two-Disc Special Edition)300 reviews
Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones

Warner Home Video, 2003

Engrossing drama, superb performances - and brilliant cinematography
The brilliance in this film's production is that, by the artful interweaving of historical footage with the dramatic scenes, the finished product seems like an insightful, revisionist documentary. This is the film's strength and weakness, because it is primarily historical fiction in that Jim Garrison's point of view is presented as incontrovertible fact. I would caution those viewing the film, ...

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban [Blu-ray]8 reviews
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson

Warner Brothers, 2007

It's Harry Potter!!!
Who doesn't like Harry Potter. It's got excitement, children, fun, magical characters and creatures. As long as the people watching it are old enough to understand that it is fiction and that they can't walk through subway walls and they aren't going to have there mail delivered by owls, or that it's in any way okay to have children living in the cupboard under the stairs, it's great fun.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Widescreen Edition)615 reviews
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson (II)

Warner Home Video, 2007

potter finale
The final chapter of the Harry Potter movies was delightful, imaginative, adventurous and magical. More importantly it left us feeling satisfied with a great and proper ending. While Harry Potter was growing and getting older, his films continued to give us the proper enjoyment we were craving since the first movie. Over the years, we learned more about the story and the movie creators never ...

"You are so Cool!!"
"Quentin carried the screenplay for this gem for something like 7 years before he sold it and still my favorite work from him. Everyone cool is in this film, no directing from our Pulp Fiction friend, but I got to read a copy of his screenplay (complete with typos!) while watching it. Spot-on!!"PILATE: A Brutal Bible Tale

Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder

A masterful retelling.
How do you begin to describe this movie? Let's start with beautiful, brutal, well paced, superbly acted, and at times disturbing. Disturbing? Well yes, it is, but I'm not going to give away any details. It's not so disturbing that it makes the movie unwatchable by any means. It is beautiful, the caste is amazing and Coppola does a great job of recreating London from that era. Great acting, ...

The best Harry Potter film yet!
I remember seeing the all of the Harry Potter films in theaters. The first one I saw twice in the theater, the fifth one I saw only once. The rest I saw three times, however, the third Harry Potter film is the only one that I saw in the IMAX theater. And not to say is that because I saw it in IMAX, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" remains my favorite of the Harry Potter series. And ...
