Now the "yonugsters" can see what "real" harmless fun was.
If there is anyone who was into cars back in the early 60's, this is for you. George Lucas served up some really good memories with this one. This was cruising in "Anytown, USA". Most anyone you talk to, who was alive and kicking in this time frame, will recall some of the events shown in this movie. Simply good fun to watch, and some fairly "harmless" gags too. Just goes to show that you don't ...

Almost more than you'd want.
There's been a lot said about this set, so I'll just say that I was impressed with the quality of transfer, the choices and options of versions, and the additional material to see what happens in the actual production and post of a movie from a standpoint beyond the usual behind the scenes mini features. Still glad I can get a few HD (not Blu-ray discs).

excellent action movie
I took my young grandsons to see Indiana Jones and the Chrystal Skull. This is a whole new character for the 10 year old set. They enjoyed it so much, that I bought the previous movies for whole family to enjoy. I think this movie is one of the best. Non stop action, villains and heroes. I thought of my own childhood and the saturday afternoon serials at the neighborhood movie theater.

perfect balance
I watched this for the umpteenth time while exercising. Let me tell you, it was effective. Between taking my mind off what I was doing, and raising my adrenaline levels, it made for some intense workouts. It was based on the TV series, which I never saw, so I don't have a basis for comparison. The plot is fairly simple. Vascular surgeon Dr. Richard Kimball (Harrison Ford) returns home and ...

Overrated, but overall, still great
The elements in the Star Wars films are not exactly original. Close to all the ideas are borrowed from different genres spanning from Japanese Samurai films, old Sci-Fi films/serials, Westerns, etc. Then there is the simplistic moral system of the Jedi. There really isn't much genius there. The genius comes from Lucas' knack for innovation of these cliche elements and innovation in general. ...

Simply the BEST & nothing else measures up....fond memories =)
This movie simply is the best. It's very relatable and so much FUN 2 watch after all these years. I was born around the time this movie came out and this movie has so much more impact on me now then it did when i was a little kid. I totally relate to Tess but I'm just a male version and i know what its like to experience "The Glass Ceiling" effect at work. This film will have you screaming for ...

"Yoda, You Seek Yoda"
The year '80 marked the release of the highly anticipated second installment of the Luke Skywalker trilogy, `Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back'. Not too surprisingly with all the money the first film made for George Lucas he had loads of capital to spend making Part II one of those rare cinematic occurrences where the sequel exceeds the original. Most obvious amongst the improvements were the ...

Best sequel of the series.
In 1938, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) has discovered a diary and a map that can lead to the holy grail of Christ. Unfortunately his father Henry (Sean Connery) has been kidnapped by the Nazis as he heads to Venice where he meets up with a gorgeous nazi woman named Dr. Elsa Schnedier (Allison Doody) and private collector Walter Donovan (Julian Glover) to help rescue Henry. After they have rescued ...

I love this movie. I love the characters, the storyline, the performances from Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis and Lucas Haas. The music by Maurice Jarre is really fine, and the photography is terrific. Just a great film from beginning to end. The extra bits on the Collector's Edition are frosting on the cake - fantastic!!

Young Indy Set 3 One of My Fav's
Most people rank this one the worst of the sets, but for me, it contains some of my all time favorite episodes that I remember watching on TV as a kid. I guess first would have to be Mystery of the Blues, since it features Harrison Ford as Indy age 50, and also shows us some of Indy's college life at the University of Chicago. My second fav would be Scandal of 1920, which I found very ...
