THEM & The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms / Them! (Double Feature) I'm a big fan of Them! It's still as thrilling as ever. Both movies are classic sci-fi. The movie arrived in excellent condition as described.

Pardon Me, But Is That an Ant Eating Your Car?
No science-fiction library is complete without this 1954 classic, probably the best of the mutant creature craze. Sure, the special effects have long been eclipsed by digital, but the suspense holds up as LA mobilizes to defeat the giant killer ants in a battle of the sewers. The opening scenes are among the best of any era. I don't know how director Douglas got little Sandy Descher to emulate ...

Crowning jewel presentation of underrated classic
I may be a bit biased, having authored the MAKING OF book on the APES series ,PLANET OF THE APES REVISITED, however that doesn't alter the facts. This is THE best presentation of PLANET OF THE APES ever done for home video---in fact all the APES blu-ray masterings are superior to their dvd counterparts. This is one of the most classic films ever, especialy in the sci-fi genre, and on virtually ...

A CLASSIC STILL GOOD TODAY!!!
TORA! TORA! TORA! is the Japanese signal to attack and this epic film co-produced by American & Japanese interests shows both sides of the story as it builds to the climatic attack on Pearl Harbor which ultimately brought America into WWII. The film does a terrific job of alternating back and forth between the Japanese and American stories so that the viewer gains a good understanding of the ...

Classic Bradbury
This set is wonderful, and honestly more than I expected. The box itself is very nice quality, unlike some that you get where discs can slip out or scratch each other. The episodes seem to be remastered for much better picture and sound quality. This was just what I was looking for and I couldn't be more pleased.

The best way to watch an incredible movie.
I'm not going to comment on the movie itself because everyone already knows how great that is. My review is on the quality of the Blu-ray release. The picture quality is virtually flawless. They took a 14-year-old movie and made it look brand new. It's actually good enough to use if you're showing off your new flat-screen TV. I can't really comment on the sound quality because I don't have a big ...

Jim Carey at his best
We've always loved the Majestic, but it's especially poignant watching it now, as America is at war. The small town that rescues Jim Carey's character is what we all want; the sincere sharing of joys and sorrows with others that have been where we've been. I don't know why The Majestic ended up being a relative sleeper. (For that matter, I don't know why Saving Grace, Pure Luck, and other ...

"Battleground" is a World War 2 Classic!
This very realistic movie about the "battered bastards of Bastogne recounts the story of the 101st Airborne's "Screaming Eagles" who were surrounded by German troops during the Battle of the Bulge. It includes a superior cast including Van Johnson, James Whitmore, John Hodiak, Ricardo Montalban, Richard Jaeckel, Marshall Thompson, James Arness, Don Taylor, and Leon Ames. Directed by William ...

Two Versions?
Are there two versions of this movie. The cable western channel version is longer and shows more of the violence and nudity. The DVD I bought excludes the nudity and some of the violence, blood and killing. What's up??

Is she Nuts?
I had seen this movie years ago & just loved it so I bought it. Barbra Streisand is great in this movie. Richard Dreyfuss as usual is awesome. Without spoiling the movie for anyone, I really can't go into great details about this movie other than if you are a big fan of Barbra Streisand & Richard Dreyfuss I highly recommend this movie. Barbra gives a great performance as "Claudia" a neurotic, ...

On the money.
The Headhunter and Brass Cupcake nicknamed pair of crime fighters carry a mantra of violence as far as their supervisors are concerned, therefore the duo are denied resources that other police officers are granted normally. Dee Dee's personal car is used more often than the police units they are issued, because her's will actually run. Rick Hunter and Dee Dee McCall balance work around their ...

wonderful and classic movie musical
Kiss Me Kate is perhaps the best example of what MGM could do to create a sumptuous movie musical that holds your attention and never lets go! The song and dance numbers are flawless; we even see a young Bob Fosse doing his stuff at the very end of the movie. The convincing acting also impressed me and the plot moves along at a good pace. The action starts when Cole Porter (played by Ron ...

Big Bang for your money
I never watched the show during its original run. My wife watched it and turned me on to it. We purchased the second season first (good) and I decided to start off at the beginning. This particular collection is good, as it sets the stage, explaining who Michael Knight is, what the "Foundation" is, where that ominous voice comes from during the opening credits, etc. As an extra bonus, this ...
