The Evolution of the Red Violin
The movie was quite interesting to see how the Red Violin began it's historic travels and through the many hands from violin players to auctioneers. It held my interest throughout the movie.

A clever murder mystery by Claude Chabrol, with the sardonic, urbane and sometimes brutal Inspector Lavardin
Inspector Lavardin is back in a movie of murder, complex motives and amusing dialogue. Lavardin (Jean Poiret) is a sardonic French cop, urbane and occasionally brutal. He tends to go by his own rules. He loves to make a noise and to put feathers under the bourgeois noses he encounters. "He respects nothing and nobody," says French film scholar Joel Magny, "neither young people nor artists nor ...

great flick
i really enjoyed this movie. it stays true to the musketeer genre with out totally rehashing the story. the fight scenes are great and there are lots of funny bits. it is in french so you have to read subtitles but it isnt that bad. if you like a good swashbuckeling flick you need this one.

Ce Jour-Là (That Day)
Livia is a slightly mad heir to a vast Swiss fortune. Pointpoirot is a psychotic killer with diabetes who is released from the local asylum with the "mission" to kill her. However after Livia reasons with him through the judicious swing of a hammer, Pointpoirot becomes quite besotted with the lovely, but equally nutty, Livia. But this doesn't stop him from murdering Livia's conniving relatives. ...

It deserves it
It really is a good movie, It has a half way decent plot (David is going to steal an expensive car) and it has some cool chase scenes. The cast is b and c list people. It has some pretty crappy acting, but is really worth 1.00 +S&H used. I paid 13.oo for it, and I think it was worth it, I guess I'm just crazy..Well worth to buy in my opinion. A must for people who love car movies.
