Do the Blu-Ray Hustle!!! This movies kicks some serious axe!!!

Almen Wong turns an average movie into a sexy action flick
Lead Actress Almen Wong turns Clarence Fords average girls and guns flick into a thoughtful drama. The romance part was a bit sappy but the movie was stylish and sexy. Almen has to go through a wide variety of emotions throughout the film and has the attitude and the right personality to become the master assassin Cat.

what?
Obviously some of the reviewers here has lost their minds, or simply do not understand the genre. The last fight scenes of this film put it at the TOP of my list of Old school kung fu movies. The last time I saw this film was working as a projectionist at the theater in 1984. Have never forgotten this classic. I have no ideas why the dub may be "unacceptable" to some people, but this film is ...

BLACK BELT JONES 2 ? NEVER HEARD OF IT
This typical Hong Kong 1970's kung fu flick has now been re-released as BLACK BELT JONES 2, although originally released as THE TATTOO CONNECTION.Obviously the distributers have called it BBJ2 to tie in with the popularity of the original movie. This movie is no BBJ but it's quite entertaining if you are a Kelly fan.The film is let down by a scene where a rather choppy fight scene goes horribly ...

Classic Hong Kong Kang-fu film
This is a bit similar to "The Killer Meteors", contains some complicated stories, unbelievable attacks(comedy!?) or so. That means this is is a very Hong Kong movie!! But looks little more serious than KM and have more Kang-fu action. I think Jackie is so cool in Chinese traditional costume. Conclusion --> Must see item for classic fans.

A Shaw Bros. film-yet it's not!
At first glance you think this is a classic Shaw Bros. film.It isn't,but it's just as good,if not better than most. The array of weapons and styles is too numerous to mention. The extra features are also too numerous to mention.I also recommend the Wu Tang Clan's latest releases such as Shaolin Drunkard,Kung Fu of 8 Drunkards and Revenge of the Patriots.

"When matched in strength, the one with the higher alter wins."
"Spooky Encounters" (aka Close Encounters of the Spooky Kind; 1981) is a seminal work in the hybrid genre of Hong Kong comedy/kung fu/horror films. While this had been done before by the Shaw Brother's "The Spiritual Boxer" (1975), "The Spiritual Boxer Part II" (1979) and Lo Wei's unsuccessful "Spiritual Kung Fu" (1978), "Spooky Encounters" is the film most causal in the formative kyonsi ...

I mean bruce liang, yasuaki kuratu, and director/producer ng see-yuen and you should have a great movie. Wow did this one fail. I love ng but he should have never made another movie again after this. I mean the camp is there. The movie is certainly better than those ninja spliced up godfrey ho movies. But sadly I have seen like 1 or 2 godfrey ho movies that were better than this. And if you ...

Another Ground Zero Disappointment
Again, the pictures on the front jacket of the DVD case, and to a large extent the written descriptions of the films on the back cover, have little or nothing to do with the actual films themselves. For example, NONE of the characters pictured on the front cover appear in either of the films themselves. This is patently false advertizing, and it ticks me off. (1) Mantis Fist Boxer This is ...

a lot of twists and turns
I've know about Tont Leung for awhile now and know that he is a superb chinese actor. He was the undercover cop in the movie "Hardboiled" with Chow Yun Fat. In this movie he is cool, as other reviewers have noted, he plays a corrupt cop. You really have to pay attention watching this movie. The little details such as phone numbers of a restaurant and the number written on a hand of a headless ...

Exciting finale, little else.
I saw this film in the theatre on a Chow yun fat film festival. I found the film very amateureshly written. I know action films suspend belief, but this was ridiculous (a woman gets shot in the head, but dosen't die for about 7 minutes, chow recieves over 30 bullet hits in the filnale, but survives.) The story itself was intriguing, but the gun battles were ver outlandish, and out of place ...
