bernie mac video
Great collection. Would love to be able to find more seasons of the Bernie Mac show. Have searched the web high and low, no Bernie Mac seasons past the first. Great laughs!

Happy Feet (Widescreen Edition)570 reviews
Carlos Alazraqui, Lombardo Boyar

Warner Home Video, 2007

So much more than a children's movie!
Happy Feet is a modern day fairytale and allegory of healing and redemption, the resilience of the spirit (human and penguin!), the power of the collective, and of course, the hero's quest. Every earthling over the age of 8 ought to watch it!

Scenes of the Crime10 reviews
Jeff Bridges, Jon Abrahams

Sony Pictures, 2003

Subtle, realistic and great acting
I love gangster movies, but sometime they are so over the top, that the realism just fades away. This movie was different. As the plot has been explored in other reviews, I found the tie in of the various characters to work just fine. Excellent acting chops were displayed by Jeff Bridges, Peter Greene and Brian Goodman and I could not even stop the DVD to get a drink of water. That is how much I ...

Gia304 reviews
Angelina Jolie, Elizabeth Mitchell

Hbo Home Video, 2000

Gia
America's first supermodel Gia Carangi lives hard and dies young in the glamorous, excessive urban wilds of 1970s New York City. The movie takes you deeper and deeper into a personality you feel you are part of, but are scared to become. This is a story with love, hatred, pain, joy, and many other emotions. Gia is superbly acted by Angelina Jolie, who captivates the true escence that the real Gia ...

Over There (13 Episodes)115 reviews
Josh Henderson, Luke Macfarlane

20th Century Fox, 2006

Excellent
Brilliant, interesting, well made. Not to be missed. Still the best depiction of the 'Iraqistan' mess to date. Not by chance, Fox buried it after the first series...

Brother56 reviews
Takeshi Kitano, Kurôdo Maki

Sony Pictures, 2002

Review of movie "Brother" 2001
One of my favorite "yakuza" movie's. Classic Beat and a young Omar Epps. This film is not going to win any oscar's but it does a decent job of incorporating old school Asian traditions with in non cultured America. Loved the props they gave to the US Mafia. If you like gansta films, this one might intrigue you.

Over There - The Battle Begins (Pilot Episode)43 reviews
Josh Henderson, Luke Macfarlane

20th Century Fox, 2005

Love the movie but watch your orders!
I loved this TV show and was disappointed when they took it off the air. However, be VERY careful when ordering! I ordered both videos (the pilot and the one with the episodes) - since Amazon was offering it as a "package" deal for a cheaper price, I assumed that the pilot episode was not on the boxed set - WRONG! It is repeated on that boxed set, so you will set yourself back $10 if you get ...

Never Get Outta the Boat11 reviews
Lombardo Boyar, Darren E. Burrows

Sony Pictures, 2005

On the nose!
This movie captured the journey from the darkness of addiction to the light of sobriety. I say this with brutal honesty and credibility since I am a recovering alcoholic/addict with many years of wonderful sobriety. I have shared this movie with other people in recovery and get the same response- WOW!

Ps Your Cat Is Dead [VHS]21 reviews
Steve Guttenberg, Cynthia Watros

Tla, 2003

Surprisingly brilliant!
I must admit, I had low expectations of the film. After reading mixed reviews, many from purist fans having a good old lash-out, I bought the film hoping i'd find something in it to enjoy. Well, paint me green and call me Gumby - this turned out to be one of the most enjoyable films I have seen in years. The onscreen chemistry between Steve Guttenberg and Lombardo Boyar is superb, and a ...

The Wounded2 reviews
Lombardo Boyar, Sammi Rotibi

TROMA ENTERTAINMENT INC., 2003

The Wounded... Hmmm
This is a campy low budget film. The story is hard to follow, there is gratuitous nudity, and the acting is sub par. I like the cult dancing, and the cave stuff, but in general, this film is hard to get through, let alone watch over and over- but it has value... There is not alot to say about it. Some of the chicks are hot. Strange plot. Contemporarry Hollywood.
