My Girl84 reviews
Anna Chlumsky, Macaulay Culkin

Columbia Pictures, 1998

Great character study and also a time capsule of the 70s
It's hard being a young girl on the cusp of womanhood, but Vada Sultanfuss' (Chlumsky) life is really complex. She blames herself for her mother's death in childbirth. Her father's (Aykroyd) occupation as the town mortician only gives her a case of "Intern's Syndrome" where she literally believes she's coming down with whatever the cause of death was for the last decedent---the prostate cancer ...

Party Monster113 reviews
Seth Green, Macaulay Culkin

20th Century Fox, 2004

Like it or hate it... it's realistic
I'm no expert on Micheal Alig, James St. James, DJ Keoki, etc. so I can't really comment on how accurate of a portrayal this is of their lives. But I will say this... Having written electronic music since the age of 12, and working as a club and event promoter in Denver for the past year, I can say with certainty that there are thousands, even MILLIONS of people that frequent the ...

Saved!277 reviews
Jena Malone, Mandy Moore (II)

MGM (Video & DVD), 2004

Often overlooked....but so much better than Juno
To compare Saved to Juno is probably not fair. After all, Saved deals with an issue outside of teen pregnancy. But while watching Saved, compare it to Juno was all I could do. And kudos to Saved! For me, you kicked Juno's butt! I found this dark comedy consistently funny, a little more believable, and much more memorable.

Richie Rich26 reviews
Macaulay Culkin, John Larroquette

Warner Home Video, 2005

Being good always wins....
Lonely Richie Rich makes new friends, rescues his family from extiction, and makes a few million all at the same time! Cute family movie that shows good triumps over evil if you put your heart into it. I can recommend this movie to the whole family. There is some intense scences near the end but nothing too bad.

The Pagemaster28 reviews
Macaulay Culkin, Canan J. Howell

20th Century Fox, 2002

Wonderful Classic Movie
This movie I first watched when I was 6. My mom was a nanny for a boy and he brought it over one afternoon. We watched it, and I LOVED it. Over the years, I wondered what that movie was that I had seen and I have asked the boy, now a teen if he remembered it. He did, but didn't know the name. The only part I could distinctly remember was the change for real life to animation. I remember ...

George Balanchine's The Nutcracker64 reviews
Darci Kistler, Damian Woetzel

Warner Home Video, 1997

Best production of The Nutcracker
This is really the best production of this ballet that I've ever seen! The costumes, staging and ballet are first rate. Macaulay Culkin is adorable as the Nutcracker Prince. It's also nice that the characters Marie and the Prince are performed by children.People with kids who like coloring pictures will be pleased to find a coloring book that is based on this production. Get this DVD, even if ...

The Good Son90 reviews
Macaulay Culkin, Elijah Wood

Buena Vista Home Video, 2004

Who would of thought that Macaulay Culkin had it in him!,
"The Good Son" is more of an answer than a question, I think. Because it tells the viewer that sometimes things aren't always what they appear to be. When I first saw this movie, some 15 years ago when it was first out, I had a hard time believing the plot; especially the ending. How can parents be so blind? Could this really happen? The film is rather thought-provoking in that regard. Here's ...

Rocket Gibraltar20 reviews
Burt Lancaster, Suzy Amis

Sony Pictures, 2003

One of Burt's best
An older Burt Lancaster, in one of his last movies, gives a performance that shows why we like him so much. A very young Macaulay Culkin has never been cuter or more loveable than in this film. This is a movie that brings home the meaning of "family gathering", and will give the viewer an equal share of laughter and some sadness. Don't look for the rockets, there aren't any.

Bob Hope, Dolores Hope

R2 Entertainment, 2004

Bob Hope - You couldn't do better
My dad got to see Bob Hope over in England during WW-2. I missed him by a day in Subic Bay, Philippines. Bob Hope is said to have been the greatest comedian ever. Who am I to argue? I lived for his Christmas TV specials every winter, and I rolled on the floor to his banter with troops and with the other stars. This is a very nice collection of some of his best holiday stuffing guaranteed to ...

Sex and Breakfast10 reviews
Macaulay Culkin, Eliza Dushku

First Look Pictures, 2008

Twentysomethings Falling In & Out of Love
Sex and Breakfast is about two twentysomething couples going through the usual relationship problems. Miles Brandman's film examines how these couples communicate (and also how they fail to do so) we each other. At times, this film wants to be the next sex, lies, and videotape for the new Millennium with its frank talk about sex, disaffected twentysomethings and an independent film aesthetic, ...

My Girl/My Girl 27 reviews
Anna Chlumsky, Macaulay Culkin

Columbia Pictures, 2005

My Girl and My Girl 2 are both moving films to cherish for years to come
My Girl: The first movie was from 1991, but it takes place in the early seventies. Anna Chlumsky stars in her first movie and does a darn good job playing Vada Sultenfuss, but of course she has already famous stars acting with her: Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Macaulay Culkin. The movie starts out with Jamie Lee Curtis (Shelly) who is a cosmetician and wants to be hired by Dan ...
