An Action Packed Martial Arts Movie
Invisible Target is one of the better martial arts movies I've watched in a long time especially nowadays where martial arts films don't appeal as much as they did before. The action is top notch quality, directed Benny Chan a veteran Hong Kong director who has done many films like this one. The difference with this film and other martial arts films is that the story is actually "decent". There ...

Jackie's finest recent movie!
Jackie portrays an excellent role of a saddened cop, who wasn't able to save his team. Encouraged by a mysterious friend to try and win over their killers he embarks on a journey which will reveal double crosses, opponent's true motives and a brilliant ending. I feel that there are better Jackie Chan movies out there, but this being made in China is a far superior to any of his American flicks.

Awesome Fight Scenes
I was a great Dragon Tiger Gate comic fan during my childhood days (in the 70s). You will appreciate the movie more if you're familiar with such comic. Since this is a comic adaption, I didn't have high expectation but surprisingly the actions are good! Fans of the comic will recognize the fighting style such as "Golden Mask" & "Electric Dragon Drill" in the movie. The CGI is done nicely & I ...

I love this movie!
There's action, suspense, and it's even sad when the Lieutenant dies, more like bittersweet. I have to watch this movie in the English Dub because I can't follow the subtitles that fast. It's a good movie, and though the kid cop thing has been done and done again, this movie is enjoyable. And Tohru Nakamura as the bad guy...fan me please... The characters are quickly developed, the scripting, ...

Attack of the martial arts Metrosexuals!
Punches and kicks send people flying 20 times further than scientifically possible. Spinning Nunchuku really, really(really, really) fast creates a protective and devastating forcefield. The leader of organized crime in China wears a cape and iron mask. Men sport God-given names like Dragon, Tiger and(wait for it...) Turbo. The tougher you are, the bigger your flare jeans are at the bottom ...

Best Action movie ever
Im making this short the action in this movie is amazing. The characters can get confusing if u are not paying attention. Infact theres almost no need to pay attention to the drama parts of the plot since its pointless in this film What sets this movie above all the rest in action is the way the people move. run shoot, jump, slide, shoot, jump out a 10 story window, rappel, shoot, then flip ...

One of the Three BEST movies I have ever seen!!!
"The Promise" is one of the 3 best movies that I have ever seen, the other two being "Bichunmoo" and "The Restless." It has an excellent story-line and plot structure one of the best that I have seen. Unlike the other two movies that I just mentioned it has a happy ending, which makes it very good in my opinion. The cinemetography is also very well put together making the move both visually and ...

Great Film & Story
I dont know why some people have low comment on this film. maybe bcoz they have watch Men In Black before this film. Well i tell you what, its way to different. But i would say that the story, casting & effects we're great (but not the fighting scenes and martial arts), but still this film for me deserves a 5 star rating for its exceptional story and the kung-fu flicts. Awwww!

this series is really good. good acting, good fight scenes, engaging, fast-paced plot, very WELL-DONE bad guys, great romance, this show has it. The acting is good, particularly Little Fish/Dicky Cheung. He was alternately the funny guy, the dependable older brother, the loyal friend, the passionate lover and the brains behind the gang. cheung was able to switch very naturally between these ...

Not "high cinema" but a decent Jackie Chan movie...
Aside from other reviewers who apparently have it in for this movie, I actually rather enjoyed it. Granted, I agree that the dub was pretty so-so and a bit corny. But, well, it's a Jackie Chan movie! Were we really expecting Citizen Kane? I thought the action was good, and generally enjoyed it. Sure, the villain was a bit over-the-top, and the plot premise was a bit hard to believe (not ...

Extra-ordinary CUTE animation movie!
Starring by Nicholas Tse (as a policeman), Cecilia Cheung(a school teacher) AND director Herman Yu, & Producer Tsui Hark! GREAT movie & great idea to combined cartoon and human. This is the most interesting HK-made movie. The coputer graphic makes the comic --- Master Q & Mr. Potato even more cute than the artist original drew. Master Q & Potato fail the jov interview in a school, they then ...

Only for mindless relief
This is pure comic relief, Hong Kong style, with a so-so story line bolstered by a few 'twists' here and there. Excellent with Chinese take away or times when your mind needs a good break.

Awesom Comedy/Fighting/Romance Flic!
Holy crap I loved this movie. I just recently got into Hong Kong Cinema and in the 15 or so dvds I have bought this past summer this is one of my favorites. Nicholas Tse is one of my favorite actors and does an awesome job in this one as the charecter Rock. The main character is Steven Fung and he does a good job too. he movie isn't really a crazy action movie like the trailer makes it look, but ...

Beautiful Picture...
THERE IS NO ENGLISH ON THIS DVD. If you go into the audio set up it lists English as an option, but selecting it is a waste of time. Once you realize that you can only watch this masterpiece, you'll see that language is not a barrier for love or life. The story is compasionate and meaningful, and above all; simple. They could be speaking chinese, sort of speak, and you'll still get the ...

No masterpiece but stylishly directed
Since Moving Targets is the third Simon Yam film I've seen with a scene in exactly the same café (PTU and Fulltime Killer being the others), I'm beginning to think he owns the place and is supplementing his salary by renting it out as a location. The film itself is a minor and disposable Hong Kong actioner about two cops (one seeking revenge on his father/superior officer) who end up on opposite ...

It's OK, not that awful but not that fantastic...
Hmmm... This movie was definiely not up to my expectations. There was such a lot of hype about it and from the many trailers that I watched, I already had a, you know, a sort of opinion of what I was going to get from the movie and so you can say that I got a surprise. Which was no good. A friend of mine who also watched this show said that the plot was moving too fast and he is right. I ...
