There are several compelling reasons to purchase this set: This is by far the best of several great NG seasons; writing is crisp, the dialog is visceral, the tempo is great, and the shows are generally as good or better than you will find in earlier or later years. The characters' development is proceeding on all fronts, human, Klingon, and crew-wise. The production, writing, and ...

The Full Story of King Arthur!
From the lust of Uther Pendragon and the sorcery of Merlin is born the legendary King Arthur, the Once and Future King. Claimed at birth by the wizard Merlin and raised as the son of good Sir Ector, Arthur grows up to be a wiser man than his father, though still greatly swayed by emotion over logic. His royal lineage is made known when he pulls the sword Excalibur from the stone as a boy, and ...

excellent documentary
This is an excellent documentary. Kevin Cosner is great and the history of the Native American people is well presented. I loved the CG images of what they think the villages and ruins looked like when they were in use. A must see documentary if you love Native Americans.

Good Product, Quality and Content
My Title says it all, this collection comes in a well designed box which my only complaint about it is that it may be a little difficult to get the disc box out of the external box. The quality of the DVD is fantastic, all the episodes look better than the first time I watched them on their original air dates with crisp sounds. If you have never seen Star Trek: TNG this is going to be a real ...

Rulers of Rome: the Good and the Evil
This series is a fascinating look at the tremendous heights of empirical glory and despotism that kicked off the Roman Empire. From the brilliant government of Augustus to the mad and criminal excesses of Caligula the early years of the Roman Empire are brought to life in brilliant detail and color through the eyes of the wretched Claudius. Ignored, ridiculed and despised for his limp and his ...

I love x-men
I read the comics when I was a kid, I still have most of them. I was thrilled when they made x-men into a movie and the first two are great, the third was... not as great but I'll still watch it. For the price it's cool, I think I actually bought it at costco for dirt cheap.

A re-release of a classic
It is unusual to see a director produce his best work after the age of 50, but that is exactly what Alfred Hitchcock did. Starting in 1948 with "Rope" and ending with "The Birds" in 1963, this was the era of his most inspired films. "Vertigo", in my opinion, is the best film of his entire body of work. It is funny to note that when this film was first released in 1957 that it was not that ...

The systematic destruction of something innocent and beautiful
This got to me, although I've already seen "An American Crime" and am familiar with true story this was based on. the story of Sylvia Likens, the worst torture murder ever to take place in the state of Indiana. Like I said, it was loosely based on a true story, the people who actually did this were even more monstrous still and the death of Sylvia Likens was even more tragically pointless. It ...

X-men The Last STand is Great
X-men 3 was plagued with obstacles during its making: several director switches, ridiculous time restraints, etc. But it truly shows how amazing X-men is that, despite all of the troubles to get it made, it is a FANTASTIC movie. It is very emotional and exciting. It is actually geared toward the GENERAL movie population, and much less toward comic followers. Comic followers will love it too if ...

A story too complex for a standard movie
The novel Dune is far too complex to be compressed into the standard 2 or 3 hour movie. However, David Lynch has in fact successfully managed to summarize not only the basic story concept, but accurately captured the essence and spirit of the characters, the settings, and general atmosphere as depicted in Frank Herbert's most excellent book. The well-crafted soundtrack also greatly enhances ...

Star Trek goes 'Blade Runner'. A stunning masterpiece.
It may be that I am in the very minority of people if I state that Star Trek Generations is far and away the best of the Next Gen films and one of the best of the overall series. I may be in the minority to talk about its philosophical themes that are all over the place in all the right places. It may be I'm the only person who sees this film as a philosophy piece like Blade Runner. But that's ...

Excellent story with great effects!
This Star Trek film was the best one I have seen altogether. I loved this one very much. The story continues in an on going conflict with the Borg and is exceptionally layed out in a great story concept. The effects, the directing, and the music scores all tie together to make this Star Trek epic a collectible to view over and over again. Jonathan Frakes definitely knows how to direct a Star Trek ...

Nemesis one of the best, misses mark with non-fans
My apologies up front, but my review of this film, and reaction to some of the other reviews present, is more personal and less detached than reviews of this type usually should be. But where Star Trek is concerned, my opinions are more emotional, and even deeply more personal than usual for TV and film subject matter. If this will derail you, read no further. After watching so many people ...
