Other People's Money27 reviews
Danny DeVito, Gregory Peck

Warner Home Video, 2005

Very good movie for business lessons
A great movie to be used in teaching business. The movie shows how the changes in the enviroment affect the companies that don't innovate themselves. And it's good to show how the capitalism drives de growth of economie.

The Messengers98 reviews
Kristen Stewart, Dylan McDermott

Sony Pictures, 2007

Predictable But Well Acted
I liked this movie alot because of the actors and the suspense elements but the storyline was way to predictable and obvious, but every movie has been like that for me but if you like suspense and scares this is a great film!

Awakenings71 reviews
Robert De Niro, Robin Williams

Sony Pictures, 1997

Der Panther
Based on a true story by the brilliant neurologist and writer, Oliver Sacks, "Awakenings" portrays lives of people who are rendered inert for decades from an earlier brain inflammation, encephalitis, and of the doctor who wouldn't give up on them. Dr. Sacks' books are filled with fascinating accounts of people who live with incredible brain aberrations, and "Awakenings" is no exception. Our ...

Disney's Ruby Bridges24 reviews
Chaz Monet, Penelope Ann Miller

Walt Disney Home Entertainment, 2004

A Great Classroom Tool!
I've been teaching for ten years and use Ruby Bridges each year when discussing racial integration and prejudice. I've finally purchased my own copy. This is a moving film that really reaches children and adults alike. Be aware that the "N" word is used on two occasions and the angry mob outside of Ruby's school says terrible things to her. One woman suggests she will poison Ruby and later ...

Kindergarten Cop56 reviews
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Penelope Ann Miller

Universal Pictures, 1998

Absolutely delightful film...successful blend of different genres
Crime drama, romance, comedy, CUTE kids (the comedic and cute kids elements often blended together in a *kids say the darndest things* format) - all of these parts make up a satisfying and sweet-natured film! Loved it.

Chaplin (15th Anniversary Edition)1 review
Robert Downey Jr., Geraldine Chaplin

Lions Gate, 2008

Robert Downey, Jr, - The Bad Boy at His Best!
If you're anything like me, the almost semi-annual relapse and recovery of Robert Downey Jr. has been an interesting periodic feature of the morning news. After a while one begins to question why does Hollywood put up with him when there is no shortage of talented actors desperately trying to make it in Hollywood? Why would producers and studios, who are so financially dependent on their ...

Along Came a Spider157 reviews
Dylan Baker, Penelope Ann Miller

Paramount, 2001

Wonderful suspense movie- Morgan Freeman- what else can you want?
This movie is FANTASTIC. I'm not a big fan of spiders and I don't like scary movies (I've never seen "Kiss the Girls" that this one is compared to by other reviews). I was initially a little leery of watching it, but I'm thrilled that I did. There are a lot of other reviews on here stating the plot, so I just want to add that Morgan Freeman's acting is fabulous, the story line keeps you ...

Carlito's Way (Collector's Edition)148 reviews
Al Pacino, Sean Penn

Universal Studios, 2003

Once you are in, you don't get out
We see Carlito's traumatic fate at the very beginning of the film, but how does one who so ambitiously wants to leave the former gangster life in the past and move on with himself still manage to end up here. This is the tale, and what a story it is. Al Pacino gives a memorable performance, and Sean Penn is right there behind him. Carlito (Pacino) is released after 5 years for a 30 year ...

Edge of Your Seat Collection (Kiss the Girls / Along Came a Spider / Double Jeopardy)3 reviews
Morgan Freeman, Monica Potter

Paramount, 2007

A GREAT TRIPLE FEATURE
This is a great collection of movies guarenteed to entertain you for hours. I wish there were more Alex Cross movies made. I understand that the reason for this is because Morgan Freeman, who played Cross in the two movies, is not interested in pursuing this role. However David Keith or Blair Underwood would fit the role perfectly. Both have read on different Alex Cross Audio books and were ...

Funny Money7 reviews
Chevy Chase, Penelope Ann Miller

Starz / Anchor Bay, 2007

Chevy Chase really does put the funny in Funny Money!
I was lucky enough to see this film shown before the public at the Sarasota Film Festival. I'm glad I got to see it with Chevy Chase in the audience. It was worth it. This movie is very funny! It is great to see Chevy Chase back on the screen. The film is well done for a low budget and full of animated characters that will have you laughing hysterically!

Big Top Pee-Wee37 reviews
Frances Bay, David Byrd (II)

Paramount, 2004

Pee Wee's circus
This movie is fantastic. I have, admittedly, always been a Pee-Wee fan and grew up watching the TV show. It came as a surprise to me that I hadn't seen this movie before. It is witty with a lot of great innuendo. Although the movie gets a little slow in the middle/beginning of the end, the end is worth it and the rest is very funny. It also raises the question: Why does Pee Wee live in a ...

Laugh Out Loud Funny
This is one of the funniest movies I have seen recently. My husband and I watched it on one of the satellite channels and we were laughing out loud. I love Neil Simon movies and this one is really funny. We can't see it enough.
