James Woods deserves Oscar
I for one fail to understand why James Woods did not get an Oscar for this fine performance except possibly for the fact that this movie is too powerful for most stomachs. As someone who works in the Juvenile prison system, and as a Jew, a relate so strongly to the feelings of helpless outrage felt by the guard. I feel this movie should be required in all temples, synagogues, criminal ...

A surprisingly good independent film ...
I found out about this movie in a fairly unusual way: the summer camp used as a location for filming was owned by close relatives and I watched the video while visiting my relatives at the actual location where as a 10-year-old I'd been a camper myself, only a few years after the era portrayed in this film. The actual camp, Camp Mohawk, was nothing like the Orthodox Jewish camp portrayed in ...

Mob Hit!
If you loved GOODFELLAS and THE SOPRANOS, this should be on your Christmas list. Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), Michael Imperioli (Christopher Moltasanti) and Kathrine Narducci (Charmine Bucco) all appear in this film along with Nicholas Turturro, the first cousin of Aida Turturro (Janice Soprano). As with most mob films the story tends to be cliche but well acted. The only disappointment, aside ...

Best Teen Movie I've Seen in a While!!!!
This movie, though unrealistic in many aspects, is great and unpredictable. It's not the typical teen movie where the teens are shallow, accomplish nothing and talk exceedingly dirty. This has substance and thrills, and some smart kids to figure it all out! They defy all teenage stereo types. It's awesome! I have a new respect for '80's movies...The Manhattan Project and the Outsides, too...Great ...

Wow!
This is clearly a true cultural classic! It is also the only Michael Moore film that I could say that I really liked. I saw it in elementary school and simply had to watch it again recently! The best acting roles in the film would have to be: the cop, the mountie, and the American president. There are just so many funny parts, but the confrontation with the mountie, the incident with the ...

Comics meet life
Great movie and was enhanced by the blu-ray quality. I am not a big Bruce Willis fan but he did a great job in this movie. If you're a fan of comic books, this is a must see/own. Look for the John Buscema stance as Willis comes out of the pool.

Not on DVD!!!!!!! What!!!!!
I cant believe this movie is just going to be released on DVD, what a shame. It should have been released a long time ago as far Im concerned. This one of the best Mob movies ever right in between Godfather and Goodfellows and Donnie Brasco. What really dissapoints me that it is going to be released in full screen, who ever is putting this out should really consider a wide screen format. Tom ...

Perfect
This movie manages to make you laugh and touch you deeply as many times as you won't think is possible during the two hours. Is truth always best? Can you still be romantic and feel deeply when you are old? How do you choose to see the world? You will be asking yourself all these questions and might be surprised at the answers.

The movie has even more resonance after the cold war in an age of threatened suitcase bombs
While the central character in this movie is a teenager, a very smart teenager, it isn't anything like the other "science fair" movies you have seen. True, what the kid does he wants to show at a science fair and the other smart kids there have a bit of a role in the plot in addition to their purpose of adding some color and comic relief. John Lithgow plays Dr. John Matthewson. A new ...
