Don't be a runaway bride! Buy this film today!
This is a hilarious, uplifting movie! It's basically about a single woman, whose run away from too many marriage proposals because she can't be herself. It's a comedic film! It's a great film! Always RENT before you BUY! :) I highly recommend it!

I'm sorry to see all the low reviews.
A few days ago I rented and watched the Blu-ray version of this movie. I am sorry to see all the low reviews because I thought it was more-or-less perfect. By "more-or-less" I mean that I don't expect LITERAL perfection from any work of art, especially not from a cinematic biographical sketch. I didn't expect a screenplay that precisely quoted words of Ms. Earhart, Mr. Putnam, and other ...

Three oft-told stories juxtaposed, heading to disaster
Often DVD bonus features convince me that the movie was better than I thought. Because "Brooklyn's Finest" (2009) runs 132 minutes, I did not have enough time to watch it first and watched the bonus feature interviews. They did not contain spoilers and made clear the intents of first-time writer Michael C. Martin (who was an MTA toll collector before his screenplay finished second in a ...

The Most Powerful And Beautiful Movie I Have Ever Seen
I cried for the first time in my life (on a movie) while (and after) watching this movie (I am a guy who NEVER cries) and I cried a gallon and could not stop. Anyone who has a heart should watch 'Hachi - A Dog's Tale'. And yes - keep buckets of tissues handy and spare time to recover after the movie. I thought nothing could make me cry - BUT THIS can wrench out tears even from a stone. Its the ...

something new
Pretty Woman is my favorite movie and I thought I almost knew it by heart. What a surprise when there were two additional scenes in this video that I had never seen. They really helped explain the romance of Vivian and Edward and progressed the movie. The additional "stuff" was just that, but the movie did not fail to please.

I missed out!
I remember last year I didn't wanna watch this movie. But I was so bored one day and just decided to. I loved it! The songs are awesome, the acting is awesome, everything is well done! Some people don't like it because most characters in the movie are evil and you feel no sympathy for them, but I still enjoyed it. Does that make me a bad person?

A "must-see" for anyone curious about Buddhism or the noble man who founded it

Up where it belongs!!!!! Great Movie
When this film was released I was very young. My parents would not let me watch it. When I finally got the chase to watch it, I thought "what if this is boring?" By the end of the movie I was over the moon. Richard Gere was fantastic!! I wanted too date a guy in the Navy. It is simply a wonderful love story. A great date night movie.

The movie is happy and extremely likable. This movie will definitely make you want to take ballroom dancing lessons. Richard learns lessons about life, love, friendship and basically becomes a better man.

My favorite movie of all time
When someoneone asks, "What is your favorite movie?' I say Sommersby. Some movies you forget as you dump the popcorn bucket on the way out of the movie theatre. Then, there are movies like Sommersby that stay with you for days, weeks and, yes, years later. I am writing this review because I came across this option as I was searching for Sommersby. I have to order a copy of this movie. I have to ...

Great thriller.
I saw this movie a long time ago and decided to refresh my memory. I'm glad I did as this movie has stood up fairly well over time. I'll keep it short. The good? Superb performances from Gere, Linney and especially Norton. Norton simply steals the show as the simple altar boy. Great direction. Excellent score. The bad? Considering I saw this a back when it came out the ending really ...

Very exciting and tense.
First off, I am no fan of Richard Gere. But, all of the actors performed great. Great plot, costumes, suspense and surprises make this a great movie. Sean Connery is at his very best.

Unfaithful is unbelievably evocative
Unfaithful is a film that stirs your senses, from the initial temptation to the bittersweet ending. There are many films dealing with a man's infidelity to his wife (Lyn's Fatal Attraction, for one), but this movie takes the other perspective. It tells the story of a seemingly happily married woman's affair with a handsome stranger, and how such a chance encounter can turn everyone's life ...

Mothman Prophecies DVD
This is a great film. I saw it with my husband when it was first released in the theaters. It is based on true events which the book "The Mothman Prophecies", by John Keel covers. The movie, in true Hollywood fashion took creative license with the events and didn't cover many of the actual events. It also changed the characters names and their relationships to each other. However, it was still a ...

Monkey See. Monkey Do. Monkey Dies.
Getting the HIV-AIDs message out was as difficult with Gay Men and Lesbians as it was to the majority of the Straight populase. This was the first TV Movie that was based upon the outbreak of HIV-AIDs. HBO really did a public service by making, then showing a story that brought the subject matter into the living rooms of America. The storyline is acted by total professionals who deliver ...

I am and have been a Dylan fan for many years and this was an excellent movie!! Cate Blanchett was amazing!!! All the actors and actresses were. A couple of times I was confused and would have to think back about who the actors or actresses were portraying but still loved the movie - it just made me think. It is one I can watch over and over.
