Love the Technicolor Queen
This movie is really a classic and besides been from the 1940's they have good special effects. It was a movie i used to watch as child, i used to love all the old classic movies, today is my passion. I loved all the costumes. By the way a clarification on a previous review. Maria Montez was from the Dominican Republic, from the city of Barahona, not from South America. As Dominican ...

I give this film five stars because it's a gem. I do NOT give the DVD release any stars whatsoever. This is one of those unfortunate films that fell through the cracks into Public Domain (like FLYING DEUCES and ROYAL WEDDING) and has been languishing in shoddy releases ever since. The source print(s)for this DVD leave us with a muddy picture whose Technicolor splendor is reduced at times to sepia ...

A classic that can never be topped!
What a pleasure to immerse myself in this fantasy classic once more, in all its brilliant Technicolor splendor! Forget CGI, MTV editing, allegedly gritty "realism," bullet time, and all the other superficial tricks used to prop up a basically bad film, because this one has the only truly vital ingredient required: terrific storytelling! And the cast couldn't be better -- especially Sabu, who ...

Example of the all the best in filmmaking
The Oscar-winning 1947 story of a group of 5 nuns establishing a school/hospital mission at an ancient remote Himalayan palace . . . a former harem. They are to serve the village in the valley far below. Remarkably, this was all shot in a London studio - not the windswept mountainside that the viewer seems to be looking at. The nuns seem to all be having serious misgivings regarding their ...

The brutal opening sequence schocks even the most indifferentt of the viewers. This moral defeat affects him seriously and even he is sent to prison by this double crime, he develops a profound and visible transformation in his affective relations. He will establish a peculiar relation with this eel that will work out as a cathartic device, till the love comes for him to rescue. Mature and ...

Who Said Roger Moore Can't Act?
This is one of the greatest action adventure films ever made. It has so many strong points. The cast and script are far above anything anyone ever expected and unfortunately this film went entirely unnoticed on its release. This is one of director Andrew V. McLaglen's best films thanks to a cast that includes Roger Moore, Anthony Perkins, James Mason, David Hedison, Michael Parks, George Baker ...

Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Ron Simmons & Sgt. Slaugther VS Spirit Squad: I like nostalgia. Does WWE have any other legends besides Slaughter or Rhodes? IRS looked pretty good in a few apperances. Skip. Chris Benoit VS Chavo Guerrero: Liked the storyline. Its weird to hear JBL and Cole appraise Benoit and say he took a few months off to heal injuries. Loved the ending, although it was a quick ...

I really liked this
I have the majority of the old ECW dvd's, so there was nothing new for me on disc 1. To me, disc 2 was where it got good. Mysterio v. Sabu, Awesome v. Tanaka, Flair in an ECW match, Hardcore Holly's disgusting tear in his lower back, Funk and Dreamer and Beulah and Foley and Edge and Lita, etc. If you've never seen old ECW, it makes this dvd a no brainer.

More ECW goodness
More? The structure of the DVD is identical to that of ECW's "Path of Destruction". There seems to be nothing ECW can do wrong, and this DVD showcases shining examples of this. The best of ECW matches part 2, so to speak, this DVD is pretty much what you expect from ECW, but also includes bonus promos which showcase another great aspect of ECW, including the promo featuring Steve Austin ...

f "A Tiger walks", A movie worth seeing
I Love the movie "A Tiger walks" in my opinion, this is one of the best movies that Walt Disney has ever done. This movis shows how impotant the life of an animal is. This movie has true emotion and heart warming feelings in it. Truly, A great movie, Joseph Thompson

Strangely funny
I bought this movie because of a reference to Big Country doing the music for it. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. It's not quite what I would call "laugh out loud" funny but there are quite a few great moments. Once I started watching I couldn't wait to see what came next. Excellent acting, great music, unique and entertaining plot (although the ending was ...

Bettter than original
This has always been a excellent movie. The insertion of the wild animal shots was seamless. Sabu was very good. The remastering especially the colorization was great. It is clean with a low key color that gives it the feel of an old movie with the quality detail of a new one. I have already watched it twice. It is the best of the Jungle Book movies.

Tna's Full BLOODY Metal Mayem!!!!!!!
This was the first volume of TNA's Bloodiest brawls collection. This is a way better collection of violent matches then of the Stitches and Scars volume. It starts out with Mike Tenay and Don West telling how violent these matches can be and are and then they introduce the matches to us. 1. Monster's Ball Match- Victory Road 2004 Abyss vs. Monty Brown vs. Raven This was the first ever ...
