Great movie.
I don't know why this movie recieved so many negative reviews. It was a dark and dreary movie but that's what I liked about it. Life is like this sometimes. Sam Rockwell did a great job taking you down to his character's level. The soundtrack was great as well, with Explosions In the Sky and Mono credited. For people that hate depressing endings like No Country For Old men and want their movies ...

Come on, carpers! Let Shakespeare be fun!
First, the stars. No, not the astrologer's stars, the movie stars, goofy! Some of those high priced people can act! Of course, I'm in luck in that I see so few Hollywood movies that I don't recognize them, so it's easy to suspend disbelief. The one I did recognize was Stanley Tucci, the star of Big Night. Tucci was spectacular in the role of Puck; he stole every scene he appeared in. That guy ...

Got it figured out?? Think again!!
This movie has so many twists that you really can't miss any of it, or you will be missing alot!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it all, and it really kept me guessing. Gene Hackman was very clever, and surprising at every turn. Although somewhat violent, if you like a good story, you will love this movie.

Stunning acting
This movie features some stunning acting... but not from Brad Pitt. Actually, Brad is really good in it... but Casey Affleck STEALS the show. He sould have won the Academy Award he was nominated for. The movie is a little bit too long, but never gets boring. The pacing could just move along a little faster. The acting is so great though, you kind of don't want it to end. See it and then see "Gone ...

A Perfect(ly) Dysfunctional Star Trek
I know - you've already seen a dozen other reviews that say Galaxy Quest is a wonderful send-up of the original Star Trek TV Series. As someone who is a HUGE Star Trek fan, I can assure you, it is, and very well done. What really makes this movie work is not that it's a Star Trek parody. The magic is in the thoughtful and well written examination of the world of those trapped in roles from a ...

TMNT: Reality with talking turtles, who knew?
TMNT really delivers on all fronts, good story, great acting, great directing and amazing action from guys in animatronic rubber suits. This movie is a perfect blend of the dark atmosphere of the original comics and the zany fun of the cartoon series, all the while maintaining a feeling of reality which takes it to the next level. The voice characterizations are right on and the acting from ...

A film you will never forget.
First let me say that my title of this movie is very true. It's not just something I thought would look good as a title. Once you see this movie you will remember it to some degree for the rest of your life. If you watch it alone you will tell your friends and family about it. You will probably let them borrow it or watch it with them just so you can see it again. The movie runs for 3 hours ...

Heavenly!
This second installment of the silver screen angels doesn't disappoint - what a ride! Three beautiful, kick-behind heroines in designer clothes, with ageless Demi Moore as ex-angel-turned-devil to destroy makes for two hours of fun. Think of it as "Speed" for chicks. The cameo of original tv angel Kelly Garrett (Jacylyn Smith) was an especially nice touch. Can't wait for number three.

Stunning drama and twist ending thriller. Underated film.
Well, I rented the movie to see how Nicholas cage potrays con man as he looks innocent and sincere guy in his appearance. After seeing the film, I was just thrilled and surprised this didn't touch oscars. Nicholas plays a con guy who misleads people by tactful stealing, selling water filters promising fake gift certificates and non-existent shows. He make hell of money which he keeps in his bank ...

Underappreciated movie
Everyone knows Charlie Kaufman for "Being John Malkovich." While that movie was great, this movie is right up there with it. The cast is wonderful, and the plot is so intriguing. It makes you almost believe something that is completely unbelievable, and for that, it is nothing short of brilliant. Sam Rockwell needs more starring roles; he is a great actor.

Sweet Stache!
This is a great underrated comedy cult classic gem from Director John Hamburg (who also wrote and directed Along Came Polly, and wrote "Meet The Parents", "Zoolander" & "Meet The Fockers") This film has amazing acting and comedy and the writing is superb. A great flick that never gets old. Should Be Required Viewing For All. The extras are also great including hilarious commentary with John ...

Awesome Horror
This movie scared me so much that I had to sleep with the light on. The story is excellent from beginning to end and moves so fast that there was no time to take a breath. The clowns are beyond creepy. What awesome cinematography and direction. The acting is great too. This is by far one of the best horror movies ever made.

Perfect little film
I missed this little gem when it was first released, so it came as a delightful surprise. It is wonderfully cast, with John Turturro doing a brilliant job in the lead role as a tightly-wound but emotionally clueless electrical engineer who exasperates his family and construction crew alike with his rigid, humorless ways. The physical and psychic detour that he takes when he encounters the ...

Bold, Tragic, and thought-provoking... Oh Nooooooooo!
It's tragic how some of Hollywood's greatest films are doomed from the start, by efforts to conceal the serious subject matter with confusing or misleading box covers, or by presenting subject matter that requires brain matter activity. I agree with all reviews of the well-delivered performances by the then virtually unknown Barton and Rockwell (at least to me). Barton's performance, akin to ...

Creepy, but not scary
I definitely wouldn't call this movie "suspenseful". And the ending didn't "keep me guessing". The basic gist of the movie is a tried-and-true mantra: little kids can be extremely creepy. Just like other movies with this schematic (Children of the Corn, 6th Sense), we are led to believe that the little ones we love just might be evil. There are no monsters or devils or cool special effects in ...
