I Love This Movie... a bit dated yet oh so fun!!!
This priceless movie with all its gags, bits and skillfully timed stunts and visuals is absolutely hilarious!! Coupling the extremely funny and beautiful, Madeline Kahn with Ryan O'Neal, the geeky, handsome, straight man was "pure genius" and then there's Barbra Streisand and her character ...Superb, charming, beautiful, and devilishly impulsive! I laugh just thinking about this union of ...

Fun for everyone!
My 17 year old daughter fell in love with this movie when she was 7. She would watch it everyday when she was younger. This is an uplifting movie about friendship & the lengths people, in this case animals, will go to for their friends. It is a fun, happy movie for all ages that you will enjoy watching time & time again. I recommend it for everyone!

The Dukes Of Hazzard-Fourth Season
I bought the Dukes of Hazzard- 4th season for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He has loved it as well as his 11 year old sister. He spent 4 days and watched every episode. So next month we will be buying the next season for his B-Day. Worth the money.

Yours truly is in ecstasy right now. Here it is, Freaky Friday on DVD. I've had it on VHS for some time now and have been patiently waiting for the DVD release. And here it is. I've popped it in and the title sequence is playing now, ahhh the warm memories. When I first saw this movie with some friends of mine it had a huge impact on my life. I can't help but think that my core philosophy has ...

A childhood favorite of mine, still plenty of typical Scooby Doo fun.
The premise is that Shaggy inherents a spooky, decaying mansion from his Uncle Beaureguard, and the movie begins as he, Scrappy-Doo, and Scooby-Doo are en route to the mansion. The whole estate is pretty spooky and decayed looking, replete with swamps and forests surrounding the house, a perfect setting for mystery and mayhem. At the mansion they are greeted by a sinister butler with a humorously ...

Space / Time Drifter...
First off, I've never read the book. That said, I must say that what I find most intriguing about the Billy Pilgrim character (Michael Sacks) in SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE is how much of a true pilgrim he is. He is unhitched from time, while simultaneously, due to his own pleasant personality and ever-calm demeanor, Billy is also a traveler through space. He drifts through life as a disengaged observer, ...

Amazingly true,
Script is tight, handling is correct and the story taut. Who would have known that a B&W movie would be so good. There are no extravaganza stuff, no HUGE entourage for a president, etc. Human emotions, and stuff. And the ending is natural. Not some crappy heroic stuff where Bruce Willis saves the world.

THE AMAZING HOWARD HUGHES
THIS IS A GOOD STORY THAT LEAVES SOME PARTS OUT. I GUESS THEY COULDN'T PUT IT ON THE DVD. EVERYONE CAN ACT AND THE STORY IS FINE. IT'S JUST SAD TO BE REMINDED OF A MAN IN HUGHES GO MAD AND LOSE HIS LIFE THROUGH SICKNESS AND DRUGS. IT IS A REMINDER THAT MONEY HELPS AND IS A TOOL THAT IS NEEDED TO SURVIVE, BUT IT IS ALSO SOMETHING THAT WON'T BRING HAPPINESS.

5 star 70's horror
I feel compelled to write something positive about this DVD release and the company Code Red. Sorry, but the other two reviews on this page are very unkind to this stylish, well acted, accomplished cinematography and very creepy tale. Code Red deserve your support if you are a horror fan, and no I don't work for them, but they are a very small outfit struggling against the big companies. Devil ...

Robards was incredible!!!!
I can't get enough of Hickey. O'Neill's "The Iceman Cometh" captures what all of us pipe dreamers know:'My pipe dream helps me face my reality. Please don't take it away. I might go nuts.' Poor Hickey didn't realize that getting rid of his pipe dream made him totally "bughouse". Jason Robards' manic portrayal was wrenching. His final scene gives me chills. His portrayal of Jamie in "Long ...

'THERE IS NO FRIGATE . . .' HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
One of my favorite movies. As an innercity public high school student, I remember the snooty kids visiting us from an all-white suburban camelot academy mentioning that it reminded them of "Up the Down Staircase". The late Sandy Dennis' performance as idealistic English teacher Miss Barrett was one of the most undervalued and underrated, and I thought it criminal that she didn't rate at least ...

Magnificent Darkness
I only recently saw the play on video, both the Jason Robards version and this one with Lee Marvin as Hickey. If one wishes to see Eugene O'Neill at his best, this is the play. (I also recommend "Long Day's Journey into Night." But I recommend the screen version, even over a live performance - as it requires towering performances for the play to get to you. I saw a version of it at Arena ...
