When I took my grandchildren to see Nim's Island, I was not expecting very much. But I was mistaken. This is an EXCELLENT MOVIE for the entire family. It is kind of a Swiss Family Robinson meets Mysterious Island meeting Robinson Cursoe. Just take my word for it and enjoy yourself.

I was surprised as to how much I enjoyed this
Honestly, I was dragged to this film. So, how surprised was I that I loved it. I was concerned about Ford's age and how he would play the character of Jones. They found the perfect balance in the film for him. The movie was filled with action and humor like the first. Le Bouef was a great attribute and will hopefully continue on with the films.

Thought is was nice in DVD, but then decided to take a chance on Bluray. What a difference. Not in the habit of upgrading a DVD, but now that I've seen and heard the difference that BD makes, I'll be replacing several of my old DVD versions. Just a classic that belongs in anyone's inventory.

How did America miss this movie?!?!?!
This movie is HILARIOUS. It follows the least fortunate trends in our culture (superstores, dumbed down entertainment, sex in marketing) to their (please no!) conclusions. I can't imagine why this wasn't the biggest hit of the year - other reviewers seem to suggest that Fox was negligent in its marketing, and if that's true, wow, were they stupid. Ironic, really.
