Seaquest DSV - Season One89 reviews
Roy Scheider, Stephanie Beacham

Universal Studios, 2005

Review
I saw this show when it first aired and loved it. Just recently picked up Season 1 and 2 in an effort to keep my brain from seeping out of my ears with all the reality trash currently on tv. I was expecting to not be as excited about the show, since I watched it originally through the eyes of a teenager, but I still very much enjoyed it. And am now re-watching with a friend of mine who has ...

Clifford63 reviews
Martin Short, Charles Grodin

MGM (Video & DVD), 2004

A Little-Known Comedy Classic
When most people hear the name "Clifford" they think of the giant dog of that name. On the other hand, I think of the Martin Short movie; I recently replaced my old VHS copy with a DVD, so my family can enjoy it over and over. Short plays the title character - an obnoxious, ingeniously wicked, self-centered brat - who wreaks havoc in the lives of his parents, his unfortunate Uncle Martin, and ...

Dare to Dream: The Story of the U.S. Women's Soccer Team9 reviews
Liev Schreiber, Mia Hamm

Hbo Home Video, 2007

Heartwarming and Inspiring
I have been a fan of soccer for over 30 years. For me there are certain American highlights that I will always remember - Pele coming to America, the mens world cup being held here, and the women's world cup championship. I first saw this documentary when traveling to New York City. I can remember sitting there and thinking how well Dare to Dream captured the feelings of the time around this ...

Fatal Attraction (Special Collector's Edition)117 reviews
Anne Archer, Michael Arkin

Paramount, 2002

Pure '80s gold that simply won't be ignored.
It is totally campy by today's standards, but it caused quite a sensation back in 1987. Glenn Close plays Alex Forrest, a mentally unstable career woman who has a one night stand with Dan Gallagher, a successful husband and father. After two nights of extremely bizarre love making (kitchen sink, anyone?), Dan decides that it is time to call it off for good. Big mistake. Alex Forrester teaches him ...

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella197 reviews
Bernadette Peters, Veanne Cox

Walt Disney Video, 2003

Enchanting
This is one of my wife's favorites so I'll let her share her thoughts. Sarah Ashley: I love it on so many levels! This is the timeless story that every girl grows up with, presented in an updated way with all of the creative support of Disney. I could watch it 100 times and not get tired of it. First, the classic music is absolutely addictive. It's beautiful, fun, and performed so ...

The Man in the Moon102 reviews
Sam Waterston, Tess Harper

MGM, 2001

"Is it always gonna hurt like this?"
It's so hard to be fourteen, thinks Dani Trant; the closest she's been to falling in love is listening to Elvis on the record player and nobody seems to understand her anymore. It's not like when she was a kid and could tell her problems to the Man in the Moon and he'd solve them. Things change forever for Dani when a handsome boy moves in next door; she falls for him completely, but he has eyes ...

Great Movie
My husband saw this movie on TV. Went online and bought it for him so he could watch it at his leisure. My husband admired Mr. Earnhardt for the way he got from where he was to the great racer he became. Thank you.

The World at Their Feet - The Legendary Story of the U.S. Women's Soccer Team9 reviews
Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain

Arts Alliance Amer, 2005

best movie about soccer ever!
This is the best movie to show ANYONE how Woman's soccer has evolved! It also shows how the soccer players are really people, not celebrities! It's amazing to see how far they've come as a team and hear many different people talk about different events (the players themselves, coaches, new reporters ect.) I would highly recomend this for anyone!:)

Nora's Hair Salon 24 reviews
Bobby Brown, Stacey Dash

20th Century Fox, 2008

Not That Good
I thought Nora's Hair Salon 2 would have been as entertaining as the original, how wrong was I! This movie didn't hold my interest at all. There are parts that just don't make any sense at all. At one point, I was like "Okay what was that about?" Well actually a few times I said this. I would suggest that you rent this movie instead of buying it.

Her Best Move3 reviews
Lisa Darr, Scott Patterson

MGM (Video & DVD), 2008

We loved it!
My girls (ages 9 & 14) loved "Her Best Move"!! We were fortunate to screen the film early at the Chicago Int'l Children's Film Festival. It's a refreshing film, with a great message. There are so few films for teens and tweens like this! My girls play competitive soccer and they were amazed at how exciting and realistic the soccer action was. Our whole family liked it (including my son who ...

Odd Girl Out35 reviews
Alexa Vega, Lisa Vidal

Lions Gate, 2006

The real world
I am not a movie critic, but I don't need to be to give this film 5 stars. As a twenty year educator and now a school counselor, I well-know there is a enough accuracy in this presentation that any condensing or exaggerating done by Hollywood is done for the purpose of getting this despicable message into a very narrow time limit, in order to educate as many people as possible. Regardless how ...

Outside Providence52 reviews
Shawn Hatosy, Tommy Bone

Miramax, 2000

Superior Coming of Age Flick
For gosh sakes, why is this out of print? This is one of the better coming of age films I have ever seen -- sweet, funny, poignant, with a bravura performance from Alec Baldwin as the damaged, working class Dad. Great soundtrack, as the film is set in the mid-70s, and some classic prep school fish-out-of-water scenes. And of course the head disciplinarian is a classic. Look also for a young ...

Johnson Family Dinner4 reviews
Ashlie Shyne, Lynn Conner

Lightyear Video, 2008

Rollercoaster of emotion, complex family relationships
I went into this movie expecting something like Soul Food meets Ma Dear's Family Reunion, but what I found instead was a story about a family that centers on its matriarch, who is not domineering but loving, a father who is wise but strong and siblings who seem to function more as friends or neighbors than as a close-knit unit. Then there is Robert and his up-and-down/on-again off-again love-hate ...

Alien Nation - Ultimate Movie Collection19 reviews
Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint

20th Century Fox, 2008

underestimated series
This series is great ! For a mid-90ies series the effects are fine and the characters are nicely drawn (buddy-movie style). I had positive memories from the first time I sawe it on TV and after I watched the series again more than 10 years later the positive memories proved right. To bad the German synchro is not yet out on DVD.
