Interesting change of pace horror tale with very strong characters and a super bad bad guy that keeps you glued to the screen. The pacing of the action was handled in excellent fashion by director David R Ellis.

Man was this movie amazing!!! It was extremely sad and horrid to watch; but I couldn't stop. This little girl is a great actress. It's just amazing how the movie plot was made and how well hse acted it out. Made me want to cry and scream all at once. Funny because I had seen this movie a while back and was looking for it. I had a role in this film and as a Civil War reenactor I was most impressed by the attention to historical detail and how willing and desirous actually of input from historians was used in the making of the film. I can't say the same of other Civil War dramas and I think it makes this film much more impressive than any farby fantasy film like Cold Mountain.
