Scott Cole: Discover Tai Chi For Beginners13 reviews
Scott Cole

Bayview Entertainment/Widowmaker, 2009

discover tai chi, scott cole
Scott teaches with a slow pace, that makes it easy to learn the motions. I am in my 60's and have gained balance and I am more limber than have been in years. Tai chi is very relaxing, but is a workout for the whole body. My wife and I do the program everyday when first arising, and have energy boost for the day.

Curious George - Takes a Vacation & Discovers New Things14 reviews

Universal Studios, 2008

Has been a constant favorite for years!
My 4-year-old preschooler has loved Curious George since she was 2, and we have almost all the episodes. This DVD has a running time of about 1 hr 45 mins and contains 8 episodes, i.e. "Curious George Takes a Vacation" - George and the Man with Yellow Hat go on a vacation but are delayed at the airport where George has an adventure of his own. "Unbalanced" - George is inspired to do acrobatics ...

Moonlighting: Season Four33 reviews
Cybill Shepherd, Bruce Willis

Lions Gate, 2006

Weaker Moonlighting is Still Superior!
Moonlighting is one the greatest shows ever created. It was so new and different that the principals just couldn't control it well. Take into consideration two volitile stars and two pregnancies. Cybill's was with twins so it took her out of the show for most of the season. Still it is a wonderful show and even a slower season is a great season. I appreciate the fact that all the DVDs came ...

Scott Cole: Discover Tai Chi AM/PM Workouts7 reviews
Scott Cole

Bayview Entertainment/Widowmaker, 2009

Relaxing
I did the PM workout first one evening and felt immediately relaxed, centered, and grounded. It is very easy to follow. The viewer can simply 'mirror' the forms, i.e., Cole faces the camera and the viewer moves as though Cole were a mirror image. I tried other videos and DVDs in the past where the instructor would turn all different ways and it was impossible to follow for me. Not here. Very good ...

Supervolcano - It's Under Yellowstone. And It's Overdue.15 reviews

Discovery Communications Inc.

One Of The Best "Documovies" I Have Seen!
I have enjoyed watching this "documovie" at least six or seven times since I originally recorded it on my HD-DVR in 2005 from Discovery Channel. It is one that you want to show to others. I am buying the DVD so there won't be as easy a chance of losing it due to accidental erasure. It caused a lot of geological interest within my household, and through our own research, the chance of a ...

Miss Spider' Sunny Patch Friends - The Prince, the Princess, and the Bee7 reviews
Rebecca Brenner, Kristin Davis

Lions Gate, 2006

Grandson loves it!
I purchased this DVD because my grandson loved the original Miss Spider movie. He loves this one as well. He is two and would watch it over and over if I let him. It makes him giggle and he ooohs and aaaaahs over this movie. I enjoy it too!

Scott Cole: Discover Tai Chi for Back Care Gentle Workout2 reviews
Scott Cole

Bayview Entertainment/Widowmaker, 2009

Great For Beginners very satisfied
Excellent video for beginners. Plus even those that may have some knowledge of Tai Chi, it would be good for them also. Does lots of concentration of relaxing, especially back muscles, strengthening, stretching, for the lower back as well as neck and cervical spine.

Shutter (Widescreen) (Unrated Edition)63 reviews
Joshua Jackson, Rachael Taylor

20th Century Fox, 2008

Shudder!!
This is a remake of the Asian film of the same name, and it is very good. It remains faithful to the original film and retains its best and creepiest moments. The character focus of this film shifts to the girlfriend of Ben, whereas in the original film, Tun, the boyfriend was the main character. I think the original film was more powerful because of this distinction, but the remake is ...

Discover the World: Live in Concert8 reviews
Pink Martini

Heinz Records, 2009

If you are a Pink Martini Music Fan, you'll love this DVD!
I love Pink Martini! I have never seen Pink Martini Live in Concert. My nephew gave me this DVD for Christmas! I know it is not as good as seeing them live. But their DVD is the next best thing. It made me appreciate all the members even more, than just listening to their music. They sing with such passion and energy. It is terrific. I do think the DVD sound is not as good as their ...

The Chumscrubber62 reviews
Jamie Bell, Allison Janney

Dreamworks Video, 2006

May the VeggieForce be with you
Dean is a withdrawn teen living in a wealthy suburb where his only friend is Troy, his drug dealer. When Troy dies, a school bully decides to kidnap Dean's little brother to force him to find Troy's stash. What a terrific movie! I loved it and I think I could see it again and again and still see new things. Although the "rich, alienated teens with self-absorbed parents" plot has been done ...

Invisible Children: Discover the Unseen4 reviews

Powerful!
This is a powerful portrayal of the injustice going on in Uganda. One cannot help but be moved to speak of the travesty that has befallen the youth of this country. We must do all we can to work for peace and stop the conflict between the government and the rebels

My Dream Is Yours13 reviews
Jack Carson, Doris Day

Warner Home Video, 2007

fine Doris Day vehicle with Doris shining brighter than the sun
My Dream Is Yours was designed to be a vehicle for up and coming star Doris Day--and it worked! This fine musical has numerous very well done song and dance numbers and the plot moves along at a good pace. The convincing acting impressed me, too. The action starts when a snooty crooner named Gary Mitchell (Lee Bowman) refuses to resign a radio contract even though his agent Doug Blake (Jack ...

The Food of the Gods33 reviews
Marjoe Gortner, Pamela Franklin

MGM (Video & DVD), 2007

Looks better than it should
I remember this being the first horror movie I asked my mother to take me to see. She gave me the choice of Snow White or Food of the Gods. I had seen the ads on TV (this was the mid 70's) and so off we went. I remember having to leave the theater at least twice, scared out of my six year old mind, but each time I was able to convince my mother I was going to be ok to sit through the rest of the ...

The Berenstain Bears - Discover School!1 review
Camilla Scott, Benedict Campbell

Sony Pictures, 2006

Two boys' review: Good DVD for quiet time on the couch
We bought this DVD and "The Berenstain Bears - Fun Family Adventures" to complement the bedtime books in our sons' bookshelf. The title of my review reflects my sons' first viewing of the DVD. We had spent the day playing bocce (check out my review of the Halex Classic Series Bocce Set) at a neighborhood park. It was almost 4 p.m. and our boys were getting tired. Too late for a nap and too ...
