Top knotch movie. Would recommend to any person who likes good drama without real violence. Gritty and realistic, as well as heartfelt. Enjoy.

Crazy Sexy Cancer8 reviews
Rodney Yee, Kris Carr

Good Times Video, 2008

Inspirational and charming
I saw this on TLC, and it's a beyond charming look at what would normally be a private struggle with cancer. Kris Carr is an amazing inspirational young lady and she inspired me so much to live my days to a much more full extent! She has an open heart that she is sharing with the world. I have purchased a few extra copies for friends now as I don't want to give up my own. I'm not sure ...

My Life43 reviews
Michael Keaton, Nicole Kidman

Columbia Pictures, 2001

Art imitating life
I am a blood/cancer specialist (for 25 years), and have always been put-off by most of Hollywood's attempts to portray medical-related drama on the big screen. Scores of such attempts have always seemed to me to be overly-forced efforts to wring some emotional impact from the audience, by over-done acting and grandiose "life-and-death" scenes, as if everything that happens in medicine is so ...

The Bucket List165 reviews
Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman

Warner Home Video, 2008

A Great Movie
This is truly a stupendous movie; everyone should watch this (especially those of us over 40). My husband and I both enjoyed this immensely and anyone that does not watch this is really missing out on a valuable lesson.

Poignant Film
I was very touched by this film. I was so taken with the superb acting, the appropriate choice of actors for each part, that it was only on second viewing that I caught that one actor has a tint of a British accent. His ability to mutter 'mom' in such a heartwarming way overpowered any hint of an accent. I am buying this film so that someday my own four children may see it and appreciate the fact ...

Heat Warming and
I loved this movie. I recently saw it on the Hallmark Channel and found it heartwarming and sweet to see the transformation these characters underwent. It could have used a little more explanation in areas of the characters lives before their transplant, but the ending left me smiling and I love that.

Tartan Video, 2006

A Testament to the Power of Detachment
As Lazarescu Dante Remus descends into death, he journeys through Hell, a labyrinth of moralizing nurses, arrogant doctors, and the general indifference of tired hospital workers. It is a long journey, one in which he is stripped of everything but his name. Would he have done better to have stayed at home? Winner of the Un Certain Regard prize at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, this ...

Facing the Giants/Flywheel2 reviews
Facing the Giants, Flywheel

Sony Pictures, 2008

Facing the Giants/Flywheel
These two video's are absoulutely wonderful. The production and the acting ability of the people involved, just ordinary people, not professionals, is amazing. The story lines are great entertainment for the whole family, wholesome with a great message. You cannot help but be so touched. These are video's that you will watch over and over again.

Refreshing Piece of Work
This movie is an example of independent cinema at it's finest. The multi-layered plot, the character development, the compelling performances from Douglas and Goorjian create a story complexity that is lost in mainstream film. This refreshing piece of work makes me excited to see what Michael Goorjian will bring us in the future.

Like Something Out of a Nightmare
Imagine being trapped in some sort of fantasy world where you keep dying horrible deaths over and over and over, and can't escape or figure out why. Pretty creepy, huh? Well thats the premise of this particular outing from 2007's Eight Films to Die For. For those not in the know, its an annual limited run of indie horror movies by After Dark Films, and they tend to be quite original. While I ...

NOT YOUR TYPICAL NONSCENSE KIND OF MOVIE.
NO MATTER WHAT YOU MAY BE GOING THROUGH IN LIFE, THIS MOVIE GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT. FROM SOMETHING NOT BEING GIVEN IN A RELATIONSHIP, GIVE IT BE BY YOU OR THE OTHER... OR EVEN SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT DOING BUT JUST TOO AFRAID TO, THIS MOVIE REALLY MAKES YOU THINK AND/OR MOTIVATES YOU TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR SITUATION.
