Getting Ahead: Mathematics1 review
Getting Ahead

Questar, 2006

Nice product.
It's British, so they often use British math terms. It's entertaining for the kids, though my 3 year old likes it best. It's a space adventure with two children on a future world with their Uncle. The Uncle runs a space salvage business and the children use math to help solve the day to day problems they face. It uses CGI graphics and each of the four disks is divided into multiple episodes, ...

The Sleepeasy Solution: The Complete Guide to Getting Your Baby or Toddler to Sleep24 reviews
Jill Spivack, Jennifer Waldburger

LA Digital, 2007

Why didn't we read this sooner!!!
Finally after 6 months of co-sleeping with our son, we were able to transfer him to his own crib. Now just 3 days shy of his 7 month birthday, he is sleeping through the night!!! This is quite an improvement considering a month ago he was nursing every hour, practically, from 7pm til 7am. I'm beginning to feel rested for the first time in a loooooooong time. The first night was the hardest, ...

Getting Fit in Jerusalem15 reviews
Gilad

Gilad Production, 1989

Just in Time for Uppercut!
This is by far my favorite workout! My husband loves this DVD too, Gilad is great for men or women. How can you not love a guy who can easily transition from jump roping to uppercutting his belly dancer? The music is not distracting at all in my opinion. The camel is kind of silly, and there may be too much production but I s'pose that is the charm of it. It doesn't take away from the ...

Getting Married in Buffalo Jump9 reviews
Wendy Crewson, Paul Gross

Henstooth Video, 2004

A Wonderful Surprise
This movie was a wonderful surprise. I bought it because it stars Paul Gross, whose work I've appreciated in the Due South television series. I expected to see an ordinary boy-meets-girl romance, something cute, fluffy, and forgettable with some nice eye candy. Instead, I found a well-written, appealingly filmed, and very well-acted story that works on a number of levels. Yes, there's a love ...

Fender Presents: Getting Started on Acoustic Guitar -- A Guide for Beginners31 reviews
Keith Wyatt

Hal Leonard, 2002

Great for Self-Starters
After reading the good reviews of this product, I decided to purchase it before I started private lessons. I had tried other means to teach myself-online lessons (not worth the cost), several podcasts and other videos-but this has been the best so far. The host is personable but not cheezy, and the dvd is well-organized. The pacing is a bit fast but you can always stop and repeat if need be. I ...

James - Getting Away with It... Live17 reviews
James, Tim Booth

Image Entertainment, 2004

AMAZING
I loved the live CD and then my friend told me there was a DVD of the same historic, final performance. This is a quintessential live DVD of a great show that if you have any interest whatsoever in James you wished you were there. The DVD captures outstanding renditions of each song and shows what a dynamic team James really were. Tim Booth is an emotional, enregetic and beautiful singer who ...

The Wiggles - Getting Strong23 reviews
Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt

Warner Home Video, 2007

Another Winner
This dvd became an instant hit with my 3-year old. I thought nothing would replace her old Wiggles dvds but I couldn't have been more wrong. Although she wants to know why Greg isn't there, she has accepted Sam and enjoys him almost as much.

Judge for Yourself ... Watch a Preview of the DVD Online ...
You can preview excerpts from this DVD online at www.rocknlearn.com. Reading a review is one thing, but seeing it for yourself BEFORE you buy is even better. You can even let your child view the excerpts and see if he/she appears interested in the DVD, which is what I did.

Webster's Getting Started in Signing1 review
Elaine Costello

Star Interactive, 2006

Good tool but a little bit difficult for a novice
The DVD is well done, but or they will repeat 2/3 time the same word which is good, or sometime they will go to fast which is frustrating because you do not have the time to see the hand mouvment nad so learn the word. I wish the CD would have more explaination about how to bild a full sentence and no just focus on words. Sould be a great tool for an advanced begginer

Getting Ahead U. S. History
The earlier segments are boring, but there was no photography back then. However, I thought the later segments were interesting and they kept the attention of my fifth grader.
