The Octagon12 reviews
Alan Belkin, Jean Higgins

Trinity Home Ent, 2004

Before Norris became a cartoon character.
Believe it or not boys and girls, Chuck Norris wasn't always the cartoonish Walker Texas Ranger. He wasn't always a "wear it on your sleeves, republican pawn". No boys and girls, Chuch Norris used to be AN AMERICAN BAD A$$!!!!!!! America's answer to Bruce Lee. The Octagon was a movie that I still watch and still enjoy. Beautiful choreography, decent acting, decent script, decent direction. ...

Synapse Video, 2005

GREAT!!!
This dvd was exactly what I thought it would be, a comprehensive view of all of the major martial arts of Japan: karate, kendo, iaido, judo, sumo, Okinawa kobudo, and yabusame(archery on horseback). Anyone serious of martial arts should have a copy of this dvd.

An '80s Classic.
The Karate Kid starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita is truly a treasure from the '80s. I love this film so much, I remember watching this movie over and over again as a little girl. Elisabeth Shue also stars, she is great in this film, I am a big fan of her work. I love the scene where Macchio's character goes to a Halloween party dressed like a shower, it's hilarious! I highly recommend this ...

80's Urban Kung-Fu At It's...
I'll let you fill in the rest of the statement. I bought with my son in mind because he like martial art films. He even picked out William H. Macy (Wild Hogs (Widescreen Edition)) which blew my mind. Plus, Sho'nuff was funny, he reminds me of Busta RhymesTurn It Up!: The Very Best of Busta Rhymes. It was good to see Vanity (in the 80's) she is a beauty! Some will say the movie is corny. I ...

Busy Body
Sid Caesar, Robert Ryan

Legend Films, 2008

A star-studded comedy classic! Screen legend Sid Caesar teams up with Robert Ryan and the beautiful Anne Baxter in this fast paced, laugh-a-minute farce. Caesar is a bumbling gopher to a mob boss who must recover a fortune in cash stowed in the suit of a corpse! Directed by master showman William Castle, and featuring the first big screen performance of the late, great Richard Pryor.

YOUR FEAR MAKE AIR STINK!
Following Daniel-San's (Macchio) triumphant, albeit incredibly improbable, victory at the All Valley Under 18 Karate Tournament, there is little time to celebrate. Mr. Miyagi (Morita) gets a letter from Okinawa informing him that his father is dying. He knows this is a potentially deadly situation because of an old grudge with his former best friend Sato. Nonetheless, Miyagi let's the recently ...

Mill Creek Entertainment, 2005

not bad at all!
since buying this product i've been immersed in nostalgia and thinking ...Why isn't there a Kung-Fu Channel some movies were better than others in addition to the quality and some were'nt strictly in the genre but i would recommend it to people who appreciate what Kung-FU movies of a bygone era represented!

Pat Morita, Hilary Swank

Sony Pictures, 2001

BETTER THAN THE OTHER SEQUELS! ENJOYABLE!
This film just edged out Karate Kid part 2 as a better movie. Pat Morita and Hilary Swank(in an early role)do their best in this fairly good and enjoyable sequel. I would give it 3 1/2 stars. The DVD transfer looks very good. I found the box set for the price of the first film,so it was worth buying the set.

A serious review, without sarcasm. This movie is an old favorite.
When reading several of the 5 star reviews, somehow I got the feeling I was being conned into thinking this movie was the best ever, or the "reviewer" was being sarcastic. Since I can't give it 3.5 stars, I rounded it up to 4. Realistically, all the KK movies were playing to a younger audience. In my opinion young teens would enjoy them the most. But it doesn't change the fact that the first ...

The Young Master23 reviews
Mui Sang Fan, Feng Feng

20th Century Fox, 2004

A must have for Jackie Chan fans!
Jackie Chan had already established himself in Hong Kong as a box office champion with 1978's Drunken Master and 1979's Fearless Hyena, but he was not getting his fiscal due from Lo Wei Productions. So he opted out of his contract with Lo Wei and was hired by Golden Harvest. The Young Master was his first picture under that studio. The film was interrupted several times because of the contract ...

TNT Jackson11 reviews

Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, 2002

TNT Jackson Not just a clever title
This movie really lives up to its billing. Jackson is one mean Mo Fo and don't take no ... from No honkey! What is great about this movie is the dialogue, i have never in my many years of watching films heard one smooth cat talk so much jive to so many sucka ... turkeys! Its a great film with wonderfully funky acting in it. You'd have to be crazy or white not to like this film.

JEET KUNE DO THE SYSTEM WITHOUT A SYSTEM(r)5 reviews

CustomFlix, 2007

These DVD's are a must for any martial artist
George Hajnasr's DVD set is one of the most informative series ever put together on the art of Jun Fan and Jeet Kune Do. As a Bruce Lee historian who has had over 30 articles published in martial arts magazines across the globe, I can vouch for Mr. Hajnasr's knowledge and skill. The DVD's are professionally done (an oddity in JKD) and contain a wealth of information that is presented in an ...

Great video for kids who want to try karate!
My 9 year-old son just loves this video. The instruction is great. Quality of the video is very good. There are three levels which include stretches, instruction and practice. Each session includes one adult instructor with four children as participants. My son now uses this video once every two days announcing "I'm going to do my exercises!" as he heads upstairs. He's learned an amazing ...
