Triloquist9 reviews
Rocky Marquette, Payden LoPachin

The Weinstein Company, 2008

Magical
Triloquist is one of those rare movies that can combine the best of many genres into a full cinematic event. It fuses the obvious comedy angle with modern American realistic horror and Asian existentialism to full and wonderful effect. The film slides so easily between one zone and the next that it is difficult to choose a starting point. The comedy is spread evenly between Dummy's childish ...

Just Friends84 reviews
Ryan Reynolds, Amy Smart

New Line Home Video, 2006

Forgiveness is more than saying Sorry
If you are looking for comedy, maybe a little bit of revenge, or just something to reflect back on when you think you were the only odd one out, you definitely need to pick up this movie. Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) was fat when he left his hometown in New Jersey 10 years before after being teased badly at a graduation party when he confessed his love for Jamie Pallamino (Amy Smart) in her ...

13 Going On 30 (Special Edition)282 reviews
Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo

Sony Pictures, 2004

Fun and Beautiful Film.
Being a fan of everything 80's and romantic comedies, I decided to give "13 Going On 30" a try. I expected a fluffy but crappy film but boy, I was wrong. This film is brilliantly cast and very well written. This film keeps the viewer interested and on their toes the entire time. In my opinion, this film has become a classic and is not far away from my DVD player. I really recommend this film! ...

New Line Home Video, 2004

FREDDY VS. JASON.....PLACE YOUR BETS!!!
If you love A Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th, or both, you'll definitely love Freddy Vs. Jason! I love the awesome fighting sequences between them. I love all the blood and gore when they slash at each other! I remember seeing this with a friend when it first came out. There were some parts we laughed at, some we thought were cool. If you love slashers fighting, you'll love FREDDY VS. ...

The Invisible [Blu-ray]65 reviews
Justin Chatwin, Margarita Levieva

Walt Disney Video, 2007

Great movie! One of my favorites!
The Invisible is based around Nick Powell (Justin Chatwin), a wealthy teenager who loves to write. But when he tries to take a flight to London to go to a writing school, his mother cancels the flight and crushes his dreams of escape. That night, Nick goes out to try to get away from it all when he is being followed home after a party by a lone car. Fleeing, he is chased down by Annie, who ...

Moira Kelly, Max Hoffman

First Look Pictures, 2008

I LOVE IT!!
I love this movie!! I've been waiting since I think 2006 to see this movie and I'm not disappointed!!The acting in this movie leads to very believable storylines and I think teenagers everywhere can relate to at least one of these characters, and recognize something that they or someone they know personally went through! Jess Manafort did an amazing job directing this movie and I cannot wait ...

The Girl Next Door (Unrated Version)214 reviews
Emile Hirsch, Elisha Cuthbert

20th Century Fox, 2004

Climax at the prom
Risky Business II? Sure, it's a typical attempt to remake Risky Business, with a young, charismatic young man getting involved with a beautiful, mysterious young woman; however, there are enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Matthew Kidman (Emile Hirsch) is the typical over-achiever in high school. He's in all sorts of clubs, AP classes, and never seems to have the care-free fun ...

One of my favorites
Took me over 4 hours to find this movie. I saw it on the Sci-Fi channel in February, and completely forgot the title. After about a four hour search I found it, and just ordered it. Can't wait until it gets here.

13 Going on 30 (Fun & Flirty Edition)15 reviews
Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo

Sony Pictures, 2006

Bravo to 13 Going on 30 Excellent.
In an age where girls are being bombarded by the culture we live in, that deems a girls worth solely on her looks. This film goes beyond that and is a positive message for girls to be who they are, not what the world wants them to be . but shows that being nice and respecting yourself , family and others is the right place to be. that's what i got from it anyway. Great film, But i think the ...

Across the Tracks12 reviews
Rick Schroder, Brad Pitt

First Look Pictures, 2004

Low budget and poorly produced but still a great film
The film starts off feeling like a bad Lifetime movie. It has a sort of after school special feel to it. It's low budget, not very skillful in its direction, and Pitt is still developing his craft. He's not yet at his best. Despite all this, the further you get into the film the more involving it becomes. I loved this film. There is a lot of depth to the relationship between the two ...

Shallow Ground45 reviews
Timothy V. Murphy, Stan Kirsch

Universal Studios, 2005

I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I HEARD HOW MUCH IT COST TO MAKE THIS MOVIE!!!
Saying that I was impressed with this movie would be a grand understatement. I do not want to give any spoilers but the movie begins with a blood covered naked boy walking through the woods. From that moment on, I was sucked into the movie and my eyes never left my television screen. The cost to make this film was around 72,000 dollars but I would not call it a "B" movie.

The Mummy - Quest for the Lost Scrolls1 review
Jim Cummings, Chris Marquette

Universal Studios, 2002

Fun for Everyone
Not having seen any of this cartoon series based on Universal's feature film, "The Mummy," I was surprised at how much fun this was to watch. With all the characters from the film transformed to animation, the basic sense of fun and adventure remain. The cartoon, however, centers around their young son, Alex, who unknowingly becomes the target of "you know who" when his mom and dad unearth an ...

Highly Recommend!
This movie was fantastic! I saw it in an advanced screening and it really blew me away. Everyone in the (packed) theater agreed that it was a great movie. As soon as you're are able to see it, do see it! I'm waiting to add the DVD to my collection!

Dreamgirl 3 Pack (Shallow Hal / The Girl Next Door / There's Something About Mary)1 review
Emile Hirsch, Elisha Cuthbert

20th Century Fox, 2006

Three great movies for the price of two
First of all, I can't say enough about the classic There's Something About Mary, which is a must have for any movie collection. Shallow Hal was surprisingly well done, and performs well as a "feel-good" movie about a guy who has no respect for women and quickly develops himself into a more caring individual. The Girl Next Door is probably the best piece of this collection, and well worth ...

The Innocents2 reviews
Jean-Hugues Anglade, Connie Nielsen

First Look Pictures, 2002

Satisfying piece of modern noir
A fine looking pair of actresses, Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) and Mia Kirshner (Exotica), center the plot in this modern noir of two sisters who may or may not be serial killers. A French music professor based in New York hits the road for some soul searching and ends up in a car crash in middle America that puts him in the hospital. As he recovers, his nurse (a luminous Connie Nielsen), becomes ...

Rocket Power - Island of the Menehune5 reviews
Joseph Ashton, Shayna Fox

Nickelodeon, 2004

X Meets Nick
Dude type kids love nick doing surfing, skating, roller hockey, and other Xtreme. Rocket Power is a great concept and it is disappointing Nick does not produce more of it for DVD. This Movie is pretty good. A good concept to explore the X factor somewhere other then the Santa Monica pier (or whereever they are). Occassionally the animation is weak. The message about women is poor ("fat ...

Film School2 reviews
Oliver Stone, Rusty Nails

Docurama, 2007

Thoroughly engrossing
I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary of a few film school students struggling to "make it", while making their 'thesis'/movie. It really helped me understand how difficult it is to direct, cast, edit, produce... never having done it myself. The three main protagonists are fascinating and sympathetic characters. I was thoroughly engrossed and I'm sorry to see the program end.
