Wonderful sequel!
20 years after the brutal Halloween night massacre that happened in Haddonfield, survivor Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) faked her own death and hides out in California under a new alias. Now raising a son (Josh Harnett) and being a headmistress at a prep school, she is still being haunted by the memories of Michael Myers. Absolutely breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been wanting to see this movie for so many years and finally did! Well worth the money and probably the best movie I've ever seen! Sally Field has always been wonderful in my opinion, but this is her best work out of them all. Watching the second disc that has movie extras just makes it even more breathtaking! ***** Definitely 5 stars! A MUST SEE!!!!

Gore or illusion?
Ahh The Wizard of Gore, they just don't make 'em like this anymore. This has got to be one of the most entertaining horror flick's of all time. It's a film from H.G. Lewis, the man that single handedly invented the gore craze with his early 60's gore epic Bloodfeast. This man was pulling off effect's in the early 60's that people can't (or won't) pull off nowaday's. He is the king of ...

A Fourth DVD Version Since 2007
For those who can play code-2-DVDs, there is a fourth version on the market. The French Canal+ (see Am.fr) has edited in 2007 a restored version that is the best so far (I already own the "best" code-1-version by Image disc). The language is English, of course - just ignore the French subtitles, they do not hurt. There are no blemishes as flickers, specks and faded pictures, the b/w-contrast is ...

Murder By Death Kills
If you're a fan of detective spoofs and whodunit mysteries, Murder By Death is a must-see as the film that inspired the private-eye parodies that followed it. Filled with slapstick, double entendre, dry witticisms, and sight gags, this movie has something for everyone, especially those who can appreciate all of the above. It features an all-star cast, including Peter Sellers (The Pink Panther), ...

"In 100 years, we'll be chasing them Yankees in rocketships!"
What can one say about this film? It is easily one of, if not the BEST Herschell Gordon Lewis films. The plot is intriguing, the acting decent (exception for Connie Mason), the gore pretty good (Especially the barrel roll sequence. Its very chilling) This movie is a hoot, and as others have said, the commentary track is very VERY interesting as well.

The Crow - A triumph in comic adaptations
Director Alex Proyas' American film debut and Brandon Lee's final performance before his untimely death The Crow sours on black wings straight out of the darkest portions of the imagination. A dark, visually luscious and captivating tale The Crow (Based on the graphic novel and comics by James O'Barr) truly is a sight to behold. Proyas demonstrates his artistic abilities in creating films with ...

Forgotten Thriller
Having briefly lived in the area where this film was made and having seen the Cajun village where some of the movie was filmed made the film more thrilling. The acting was good and the film moved along well. Having been out in the bayou country myself made the behavior of the actors more natural. The music in the movie, the food, the terrain, all part of the Louisiana experience. A good film, ...

this horror masterpiece works on many levels
The Unseen is another of my personal favorites, outstanding on every level. Yes, the story is basic Horror Film 101. Three TV newsgals drive to Solvang, California to do a puff piece on a folk festival. All the local hotels are booked so, while searching for a hotel outside of town, they stumble upon one run by Ernest Keller (Sydney Lassick). Turns out the hotel is a museum. No matter. Ernest ...

Dahn Yoga for MS and Similar Conditions
I was curious about this DVD. I am an avid home exercise person and have used many yoga videos before. Yoga is one of the few forms of exercise that does make the mind and body connection making you feel better. "Dahn Yoga for MS and Similar conditions" goes beyond that. I have relapsing remitting form of MS and have seen a decline in my physical abilities since my diagnosis a year ago. My ...

WOW! What a great birthday present I bought myself. It was my B-Day yesterday and I wanted to (trick or)treat myself to the best gift I could think of...A HORROR MOVIE! But what to buy??? everyone is DYING to meet her
The film revolves around Melissa, a girl turning sixteen. The boys adore her...but they can't seem to be around her for an extended time. As the tag line declares, "everyone is DYING to meet her". Every boy around Melissa dies soon after encountering her. Sweet Sixteen is a cryptic film that is often enjoyable. Not often is the horror genre mixed with mystification, but in the case of Sweet ...

Red herrings, blood and tension in the superior shocker
Fierce, stylish sex crimes are on the menu in this grisly, superbly shot film. It's got some great twists and several places where I jumped out of my skin. The violence is extreme and unpleasant, with a good deal of graphic (& in one place hilariously bad) effects. This is powerful stuff and viewing it is like watching a slasher film made by Hitchcock. A acquired taste but interesting viewing.

My son has mental illness and the National Alliance of Mental Illness recommended this 16 minute segment from a 20/20 television show as a good way to try and understand how the mind of a mentally ill person perceives things. A group of scientists at Yale University developed a visual reality device that one puts on their head to see and hear as if you have schizophrenia. It is an intense ...

A fascinating journey
This documentary follows the multiple pregnancies of three different women, from conception to shortly after the birth. Rachel (the only one who isn't a first-time mother) is having fraternal twins (a boy and a girl), Jennifer is having triplets (two identical boys plus one fraternal brother who was conceived on a different day), and Julie is having identical quads (girls). All three of these ...

It A Original Classic
Well, it's the 80's and these movies were big. This one is a slasher but no one gets killed, so what then do you call it, a metaphor? I think so, this film gets a high rating from me because of the characters, the story(or plot). And the original concept. Groovy!Stay Focused & smoke out!

Thought Provoking and Frightening Drama for Modern Times... no, really!
Wow. Let's start at the end of the movie (without being a spoiler) and tell you that my daughter, husband, and I all sat there with our jaws dropped for some time at the stunning outcome of the film. It was a plausible ending, yet with all the other completely likely realistic drama that could happen going on throughout the film, we overlooked this detail. Which, I think was the point. And as ...
