Jesse Stone - Night Passage33 reviews
Tom Selleck, Stephen Baldwin

Sony Pictures, 2007

Just what we expected!
the product arrived in great condition, we watched it that night. I couldn't believe the speed at which it came-I wish that 3rd party retailers for Amazon would ship their items with such enthusiasm. Amazon needs to instill a condition in regards to 3rd party retailers, that they must send their items (books & movies) using USPS Priority Mail-the cost that is charged is the same versus having ...

What Happens in Vegas (Widescreen Edition)23 reviews
Cameron Diaz, Ashton Kutcher

20th Century Fox, 2008

With two beers it's better
This is a funny "no brainer" movie with a sweet ending. You don't have to think about the plot, it is very predictable. Just relax and enjoy the slap stick humor. This is a good movie to watch after a hard day of work with a couple beers and some popcorn. It will make you laugh and you don't have to bring your brain. This would be a great first date movie too.

Still rocking the kids
I bought this for my 16 year old daughter who has discovered the Beatles. She just loves their music and I am getting to enjoy them again also. It is great to be able to share my youth with todays youth.

30 Days of Night207 reviews
Josh Hartnett, Melissa George

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, 2008

fantastic movie
My husband and I saw this in the theater, then had to buy it the week it came out. I have seen many vampire movies, read many books- the story is great. The premise is so genius! Why WOULDN'T vampires attack in Alaska when the sun has gone for a whole month?! The sound these vampires make is bone chilling, as well as their appearance. The action cannot be beat. SEE THIS MOVIE

Friday Night Lights - The First Season145 reviews
Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton

Universal Studios, 2007

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
Friday Nights Lights was definately not what I was expecting I was lead to believe it was going to be One Tree Hill with Football (which I must say I was looking forward to, being that I love that show). When I started watching though it was very clear I was mistaken. It took me a while to get into but after a couple of episodes I was hooked. The way it is filmed gives it a doco/reality feel ...

Night of the Comet107 reviews
Robert Beltran, Catherine Mary Stewart

MGM (Video & DVD), 2007

Great 80's movie!
This film is so underrated, and is one of the best movies of the 1980's. The movie is a great campy version of the 1960's B-rated sci-fi movies, with a 1980's Valley girl spin. Robert Beltran (later of Star Trek Voyager) and Mary Catherine Stuart, do a great job in the film.

Friday Night Lights: The Second Season46 reviews
Friday Night Lights

Universal Studios, 2008

Awesome show :)
I absolutely love this series. I bought Season 1 & 2 together without even seeing an episode (as it's only aired in Australia on cable) and I'm glad I did!!! Now I have to wait a while for the next season.

The Happening13 reviews
Mark Wahlberg, John Leguizamo

20th Century Fox, 2008

Bottom line: M. Night is in the world and I'm Happy!
No, it wasn't his best offering, that was between "Lady in the Water" and "The Sixth Sense", and if you missed the message behind "Lady" I feel sorry for you because THAT was one of the most magical films I've ever seen. I also thought "The Village" was an excellent piece of cinema and extremely underrated. " When I saw "Signs" it was at someone's house and some idiot came in towards the end and ...

Prom Night (Unrated)34 reviews
Brittany Snow, Scott Porter (III)

Sony Pictures, 2008

Well Done
First of all, to all cops in such movies; AIM FOR THE HEAD. I really liked this movie. It had all the right ingredients: not to much killing, no grotesque killing, just old fashioned stabbing and neck slashing. Everything I loved about it also devalued it, in that there was nothing new, just different actors, although good acting. The 20-something playing teens has gotten kind of old. Brittany ...

The Sixth Sense (Collector's Edition Series)1167 reviews
Firdous Bamji, Mischa Barton

Walt Disney Video, 2000

Why I love this movie
I saw this originally at the movies, and was amazed at the incredibly believable performance by young Haley Joel Osment who plays a child terrified for too long on the verge of losing his fragile young mind. Just before the end of the story I was very frustrated feeling that the Director had cheated on the mystery of the story, until it did actually end, then of course it was "Oh, I see!", my ...

Saturday Night Live: The Best of Chris Farley25 reviews
Christopher Guest, Robert Smigel

Lions Gate, 2003

Sadly Forgotten.
I don't hear too many people talk about Farley anymore and I think that is rather sad as he was a gifted performer. All of his best shticks are recorded in this DVD but it could easily have been two hours long. One hour does not do justice to the guy in my opinion. Yes, a lot of the great stuff is here such as his Matt Foley character, Bennett Brauer, and the Chippendales skit he had with Swayze. ...

David Gilmour: Remember That Night - Live from the Royal Albert Hall167 reviews
David Gilmour

Sony, 2007

Get this blu-ray only if you are a audiophile
Get this blu-ray only if you are an audiophile because the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track will knock you off your feet with its chilling presence and sound envelope.....hats off to the sound engineers on the HD side....as of video i would give it a 7/10 for the immense graining and the inconsistent clarity...but this concert is about music and it delivers beyond expectations..

Night Gallery: Season Two3 reviews
Night Gallery

Universal Studios, 2008

Good things come to those who wait . . .
For most fans of "Rod Serling's Night Gallery," season two is when the show really hit its stride with its kaleidoscopic mix of thoughtful Serling originals ("Class of '99," "Dr. Stringfellow's Rejuvenator," "The Messiah on Mott Street," "Lindemann's Catch," "Deliveries in the Rear") and vivid adaptations of classic horror fiction by Serling and others ("The Boy Who Predicted Earthquakes," "A ...

Night at the Museum (Widescreen Edition)366 reviews
Ben Stiller, Dick Van Dyke

20th Century Fox, 2007

funny!
The acting, the special effects, and writing are all great! It's so funny! And I like the way the plot about Lary trying please his son and ex-wife is connected to the museum plot.

Knocked Up (Unrated Widescreen Edition)338 reviews
Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl

Universal Studios, 2007

lighten up
i read the negative reviews and despite my cynicism (sp?) i say remember. this is a MOVIE about an idealized situation that film viewers might find entertaining and endearing. like , you know, a happy ending? real life doesn't work like this but who cares. i found the movie funny and oddly touching. stoner goof gets lucky and shows his true mettle to a hot, deep chick, who sees his true worth. ...

We Own the Night69 reviews
Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix

Sony Pictures, 2008

Both sides think they own the night
The film is covering well known territory, and it doesn't bring totally new aspects into it. Just a normal "New York cops versus gangsters" flick, imagine a cross of the Departed and Eastern Promises. We all know that in the 90s, Mr.Giuliani singlehandedly and famously cleaned up NYC (unless it really happened differently, eg via the mechanisms mentioned in Freakonomics). Before his magic touch ...
