Mysterious Object at Noon3 reviews

Plexifilm, 2003

Among the more striking cinematic debuts of recent times
I first saw MYSTERIOUS OBJECT AT NOON a few years ago, and eventually purchased the DVD, which has been subjected to many viewings. There nothing really quite like it. Based around the surrealists' 'Exquisite Corpse' game, the film was assembled over 3 years from mostly improvised footage, with everyone involved a simultaneous actor/collaborator/creator of this grand experiment. The footage ...

The Object of Beauty10 reviews
John Malkovich, Andie MacDowell

Lions Gate, 2002

A fun movie to see! Especially Andie.
I loved this movie! It's a lot of fun to watch and very entertaining. The plot was a little confusing but i'm a huge Andie MacDowell fan, so i was occupied by her charm in this movie. It has a lot of cute jokes and even non jokes were still funny by the expressions on the actors faces. It was a very cute movie to watch. For all Andie fans, this is a great on to see. She's stunning in it. So i ...

Superb job on this - thanks!

The Jennifer Aniston Collection (She's the One / The Object of My Affection / Picture Perfect)1 review
Jennifer Aniston

20th Century Fox, 2006

Be warned
I bought this item hoping that the disc for "Picture Perfect," one of my favorite romantic comedies, had been updated, but it hasn't. Be warned that it is widescreen, but NOT enhanced for 16 by 9 TVs, so it is a small image with bars on the sides. The other two films ARE enhanced for 16 by 9. I wish this information had been in the product description.

That Obscure Object of Desire - Criterion Collection36 reviews
Fernando Rey, Carole Bouquet

Criterion, 2001

The Devil Is a Woman
The last film of a great master, his "swan song" was based on the novel "La femme et le pantin" written by Pierre Lou˙s. The novel has been adapted to the screen eight times, and among the films are Josef Von Sternberg's "The Devil Is a Woman" with Marlene Dietrich, Julien Duvivier's "La Femme et le Pantin" with Brigitte Bardot, and The Woman and the Puppet (1920) directed by Reginald Barker with ...

The Object of My Affection105 reviews
Paul Rudd, Kali Rocha

20th Century Fox, 2003

WOW!!!!
THIS IS THE BEST FILM EVER!!!!!! The Object Of My Affection is my favourite film, it sensitively conveys the emotions of two people in love, knowing nothing could ever happen between them, it's a heartwarming and beautiful film with an amazing cast and another important thing it's hillairious! It's not just a chick-flick as some may presume just because it DOESN'T have a car chase in it, ...

The Safety of Objects25 reviews
Glenn Close, Dermot Mulroney

MGM (Video & DVD), 2003

Ambitious puzzle of the human nature!
This a film that must be watched at multiple layers. You can figure out a multidimensional prism, where every face deals with a particular character and diverse approach about the existence's hard reality The impressive edition work and the increasing rhythmic tension can be imagined as frame that progressively shrinks and eventually struggles to every member of those four families whose lives ...

Perfect Date Movies Vol. 5 - Love & Devotion (The Object of My Affection / Hope Floats / A Walk in the Clouds ...1 review
Keanu Reeves, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón

20th Century Fox, 2007

Love conquers all
The five volumes in FOX HOME VIDEO's PERFECT DATE MOVIES all have a "Love & ____" theme. The four titles in each set are on individual discs and presented in widescreen format. Quality of the transfers is excellent. Provided extras are those typical of full-priced, single release DVDs: commentary tracks, theatrical trailers, "making of" featurettes, deleted and extended scenes, etc. This final ...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Full Screen Edition)203 reviews
Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett

Paramount Home Entertainment, 2008

The Stars are for Indy....not the film
To start off, this film is enjoyable to the die-hard Indy fan - someone like me who grew up watching the daredevil archaeologist in the theaters some 27 years ago. To be honest, I was so excited to see Indiana Jones in the theaters again after all these years, that I was willing to forgive this film its short comings. I saw it three times, and each time I found something new I liked, and ...

Object of Obsession2 reviews
Scott Valentine, Erika Anderson (II)

Image Entertainment, 1998

OVERCOMES ITS AFFILIATION WITH SLEAZE.
Since its director's cinematic background is one of hard and soft core pornography, it would be capricious to expect a film of quality to be a result here, but such is indeed the case for this soundly made psychosexual melodrama that presents expected soft-core slow motion action that is less than many "mainstream" productions tender, and rather offhand as well, with the plot and a nice attention ...
