Gorgeous, Fantastic, Spectacular and Stunning
Produced by the same people who brought us the amazing Planet Earth, we're given the no less amazing Blue Planet. Where Planet Earth gave us the world, Blue Planet focuses entirely on the oceans and all the life that depend on it. What we're given here is a true masterpiece in photography and cinematography that'll blow away your senses and amaze you. No one has ever captured ocean life like ...

Still looks great!
I was surprised and happy! to see this has been made available to purchase as a DVD. I saw this when it was originally playing in theaters and I never forgot it. And I'm happy to report it still looks great. In fact, everything about this movie has stood the test of time. And that Includes the Floyd-ish soundtrack, which I purchased here as well. I watched this with my 10 year old, she dug ...

Beautiful and educational
One has to appreciate the time and effort that must have been put into making this series. The footage is breathtaking and the narration is informative. I am very well pleased with my purchase. It is a great reminder of the awesome beauty of nature amidst the busyness of our lives, especially for those living in a concrete jungle. Raw, and quite artistic at times, it is a true and accurate ...

This is the Classic Sci-Fi Moview That You'll Want To Say You Saw
I won't talk at any length about the motion picture itself since so many others have done such a good job of that already. This will be a more personal review and one that I hope will give you a different perspective of the film's value as a piece of Sci-Fi Movie History. Do I recommend you buy a copy of Forbidden Planet. Unequivocally.. yes, buy it and not so much as an icon of Sci-Fi movie ...

It gets major points for creativity, indie low-budget film
Despite the bad reviews, I just had to see this film after I learned it had a $13,000 budget. It wasn't great, but then again, it was better than a LOT of big budged Hollywood movies I've seen this year. In terms of entertaining me, it did slightly better even than Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, and even better than the most recent Narnia Installment, Prince Caspian. It had major ...

The Reviews
I have read most of the reviews, good and bad, and can't help to see the obvious. This is not a battle between Science and Religion. It's a battle between Religion and Religion. Just read how the opponents of this video attack it, and you see that they are guilty of the exact tactics they are the accusing video of taking. Most throw out thoughts that are blind, unsubstaniated, and without ...

"From Dusk Till Dawn" to the 100th power...but with zombies!!!
"Planet Terror" is one of the most unique films I've seen in quite a while. It's a sort of parody/ tribute to the drive-in/ exploitation movies of the 1970s. Now here's my Top Ten Reasons Why You Should Watch "Planet Terror": 1) It's brought to us by Robert Rodriguez, the same man that gave us "From Dusk Till Dawn", so you know this is gonna be something interesting, and especially well-made. ...

going ape over the apes
After years of my partner telling me how much he loved the Planet of the Apes movies, I decided that I needed to see them too. I'm sure that I had seen portions of them, but didn't remember them. I ordered them as a surprise for him. THESE ARE GREAT. The stories are interesting and the quality of these discs are hard to beat. And now I know what he likes about them. Worth every penny to take ...

Excellent
This is THE best documentary on the history of space science. Good graphics, good fact checking, interviews with the top scientists, and a well-balanced look at both Soviet and American programs.

Oh my God
It easy to understand why it took several years for this series to be filmed. On an HD 52" Flat sreen the visuals were abosolutely stunning. I also suggest whoever purchases this product should also consider the Planet Earth disc set. I just couldn'y get over the photography, as well as the in depth knowledge I gained from this series. I highly recommend it.

Love The Planets
This is a really cute way of introducing toddlers to planets and solar system; my son loves this DVD. Songs are very catchy and David already knows all his planets not even 3 yet. of course I had to learn all of them with him, but it was fun to interact with him as well.If your kids has any interest to space, he will be captured with this flick.

A Real Suprise!
A more interesting plot than one typically finds in this genre. Characters are generally more interesting. I find the female lead to be inadequate, tending to be overstated in several important scenes. The use of an obviously home built 6 inch Newtonian reflecting telescope assembled with plumbing fixtures didn't add to the credibility of the film. Generally entertaining, well written and ...
