Martian Child46 reviews
John Cusack, Amanda Peet

New Line Cinema, 2008

An Exceptional Movie
The boy (Bobby Coleman) was amazing! You will most certainly see more from him in the future. Beautiful, heartwarming tale of a widower in the midst of adopting a troubled young boy who believes he is from Mars. John Cusack is always great to watch and does not disappoint here. This movie is well worth the time invested. I would recommend it!

L.A. Ink: Season 11 review
La Ink

Tlc, 2008

About time
I know that I should be waiting till the release before I type out a review, but this is for the show, now the dvd that is finally coming out. When I previously reviewed the first season of Miami Ink (read my review here: http://www.amazon.com/Miami-Ink-Season-1/dp/B000TJ6PCO/ref=cm_cr-mr-img), I had mentioned that LA Ink was the better show. So far, I've not been proven wrong. When Kat Von D was ...

The 40-Year-Old Virgin (Unrated Widescreen Edition)414 reviews
Steve Carell, Catherine Keener

Universal Studios, 2005

40 Year Old Virgin
Such a cute movie & very funny. A great story about (as another reviewer says) guys that care about each other. Beware for children that there is nudity, lots of 'dirty words' and adult situations. But it's all there to build the plot and characters. I love this movie and it's happy ending!

Blue Hawaii59 reviews
Elvis Presley, Joan Blackman

Paramount, 2000

The must have Elvis movie
This is the must have Elvis movie for any Elvis fan. My dad got me hooked on Elvis movies as a kid, and this is the favorite. If you are looking to purchase one for yourself or a friend and just starting a collection, start with this one. It will not disappoint. I actually purchased this copy as an x-mas gift for my cousins daughter (who at the age of 9 is an avid Elvis fan) and within 3 ...

Lie With Me53 reviews
Lauren Lee Smith, Eric Balfour

Velocity / Thinkfilm, 2006

Sex and more
I found interesting about this movie is the "balance of interest" between the two people and how it shifts back and forth throughout the movie. I'd recommend an amazing book in this topic Sex and the Perfect Lover: Tao, Tantra, and the Kama Sutra

A Night At the Roxbury (Special Collector's Edition)200 reviews
Chris Kattan, Will Ferrell

Paramount Pictures, 2007

Hilarious!
I bought this movie as a gag gift for my husband, but after watching it a couple of times enjoyed it myself. I will admit I love cleaning the house to it and running on my treadmill to it. Makes the time fly and you can't help but laugh. Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan and Molly Shannon are funny. Great movie to enjoy and to turn your brain off for awhile! Lots of great one liners!

The 40-Year-Old Virgin [Blu-ray]

The outrageous and unforgettable comedy delivers more laughs in this all-new special edition filled with hours of never-before-experienced pleasures! With loads of new bonus features and deleted scenes, this hilarious 2-disc set is even better than the first time. Comedy sensation Steve Carell is Andy Stitzer, a nice guy who has somehow managed to go forty years without "doing it." When his pals make it their mission to help him score, their ...

Waiting... (Two-Disc Widescreen Edition)119 reviews
Ryan Reynolds, Anna Faris

Lions Gate, 2006

Light On Plot, Heavy on The Funny
I think, to fully appreciate the hilarious plight of these characters, you had to have worked at either a diner or fast food place at one time in your life. Otherwise, it might be a bit hard to cheer for these guys as they do disgusting--yet always side-splittingly funny--things to the food of the rude customers. This movie manages to show the bizarre comradery, rivalry, and hilarity that ...

Alfie40 reviews
Michael Caine, Shelley Winters

Paramount, 2001

Charming Misanthrope
It took me a number of years to finally catch up with "Alfie" and, boy, did I have a misconception about the film. I thought Alfie was a free-spirited dandy who loves and leaves the ladies. Little did I know that he's a self-loathing misogynist. It's a brilliant device to have Alfie address the audience. Alfie may think he's pleading his case but instead he digs a deeper hole for himself. ...

Lions Gate, 2008

Love Love Love it!!!
This movie is really cute I enjoyed it so much. Jessica Alba is so funny, I didn't know how funny she was. Anybody who wants a laugh watch this movie. Beware it can be a bit sexual... including Dane Cooks love making scene with the stuffed animal. A Must See!

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Kate Hudson plays Andie Anderson a columnist for Composure magazine. Even though she has a degree from Columbia, she is stuck writing a "How To" fluff piece for the magazine. Her latest assignment is to pick a guy, and do all the stupid things girls do to chase a man away. "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" is Andie's next challenge to write. Ben is the perfect man for her column! Matthew ...

Good Time
I loved this movie. One of the great things about gay comedies is that even if the writing or acting is bad, you can't tell because it's designed to be cheesy, cliche, and over-the-top. This movie funny and inappropriate in all the right ways.

John Tucker Must Die47 reviews
Jesse Metcalfe, Brittany Snow

20th Century Fox, 2006

Found it funny. Worth the time.
Saw this film the other day and couldn't stop laughing. I heard about it when it came out in the theatres, but never had any intent on seeing this "chick flick". Wow, did I miss out! It's funny and halarious. Made me laugh and now I can't walk near a Victoria Secret store without laughing outloud. It's one of those films you can watch on a day where you have nothing to do, and when it's ...

Donna Summer, Paul Jabara

Sony Pictures, 2006

Face it,.. Disco will Never die.
Besides of the great disco music, I love this movie for the performance of the Queen of disco, Donna Summer, she's the best,is 1978 and she plays this singer wanna be, begging the DJ to listen to her demo, when she sings 'Last Dance' is the climax of the movie.

Sex and Death 10133 reviews
Simon Baker, Winona Ryder

Anchor Bay - ITN, 2008

"My Wounds Are Deeper Than Your Desires" ...
Told through first-person narration, Sex and Death 101 is a little like the Wachowskis' The Matrix collides with Shainberg's Secretary (stick with me here). The premise: a (sentient?) "machine" has begun interfering with humanity, issuing e-mails that reveal a person's fate. While many people received an e-mail revealing their death-day, Roderick Blank was "gifted" with a list of every woman he ...
