Super Troopers168 reviews
Christian Albrizio, Aria Alpert

20th Century Fox, 2002

There's a reason it's a cult classic
Super Trooper is a wacky tale chronicling the happenings of the Highway Patrol as they arrest criminals, battle the local Police Department over jurisdiction, and get into all sorts of shenanigans while pulling pranks on the job. The clear allure of this movie is that it's filled to the brim with zany antics. It's Dumb and Dumber and Wedding Crashers with badges. From the beginning chase ...

Airplane! (Don't Call Me Shirley! Edition)276 reviews
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Frank Ashmore

Paramount, 2005

Airplane! DVD
Such a classic! If you like slapstick, physical humor that makes fun of a whole genre, you can't be without this film. It redefined Leslie Nielsen's career and essential birthed the genre of mockery film-making. It's rather adult but once my son was 17 I just had to share it. It's a bit dated (it helps to have lived through the 70's to get some of th jokes) but it's still a riot.

This Is Spinal Tap (Special Edition)373 reviews
Fran Drescher, Christopher Guest

MGM (Video & DVD), 2000

If you don't laugh all the way through this movie...
... you're a preserved moose. This is a masterpiece of satire and deliciously detailed comedy. It also bulges with some of the daftest, most accurate send-ups of how terrible rock lyrics often are - and how we've all bought the records by the ton! - an outrageously OTT Nigel Tufnel guitar-solo of a film!

Snatch (Widescreen Edition)342 reviews
Ade, William Beck (II)

Sony Pictures, 2003

The most fun I have ever had watching a movie
I can't say that Snatch is my favorite movie of alltime, but it's up there. It has the most perfect cast imaginable, one of the best soundtracks, and a super slick directing style that makes you wish the movie would never end. There's a lot going on in the movie, but it all comes down to everybody chasing a diamond. To be honest I hardly ever thought abotu the diamond. I was too busy laughing ...

Hairspray (Full-Screen Edition)263 reviews
John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer

New Line Home Video, 2007

I normally don't like musicals but...
I found this one hard to resist! I'm a dyed-in-the-wool action/adventure/war movie buff. I've rented and watched this movie twice already, time to buy! I couldn't help but be sucked in! What a fun movie!

Rambo (Widescreen Edition)207 reviews
Sylvester Stallone, Julie Benz

Lionsgate, 2008

Symphony of Rage and Redemption
Best and most outlandish war film since Peckinpah's WILD BUNCH. Ultra violent, ultra stylized, but never condescending or patronizing; an adult film for adult audiences, and Stallone treats both the material and his audience with great respect. I understand Stallone was profoundly influenced by Ruggero Deodato's 1979 CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, and it shows in every unsparing, unforgiving frame. CH, ...

James Stewart, Maureen O'Hara

20th Century Fox, 2005

Fun movie!
My husband and I both enjoy this movie and like to watch this movie and National Lampoons Vacation before or after we take a vacation. They are different styles but both are fun movies.

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World305 reviews
Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle

MGM (Video & DVD), 2003

Great cast at their best
What a treat to see the finest comedic talent that we will ever see together in a hilarious production. Each of these legendary performers are marvelous and none of them overact. There is no competition between them, but a wonderful blending of talent that is from the better days of entertainment.

There Will Be Blood (Two-Disc Special Collector's Edition)319 reviews
Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Dano

Paramount, 2008

Wonderful but not Pleasant
I like basically any movie that Daniel Day Lewis appears in and this is no exception. The actor, Paul Dano, was previously unknown to me, but he did a fine job portraying the Sunday brothers here. There Will Be Blood may not be faithful to Upton Sinclair's original story but it is a compelling portrait of evil in this world. I always laugh at those who think human beings are more good than evil. ...

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest301 reviews
Jack Nicholson, Louise Fletcher

Warner Home Video, 1997

The movie was the first to win all five major Academy Awards
This is, without doubt, one of the greatest movies ever produced. Milos Forman won best director for his magnificent work on the adaptation of Ken Kesey's novel by the same name. But this movie is so much more than that. The acting was flawless - considering the roles, that is not an easy feat. In the beginning we meet Randle P. McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) who was sentenced to prison for ...

Wow - this movie is wonderful on DVD and in Widescreen to boot. Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood and the rest of the cast are funny and downright entertaining. I can't wait to watch it again.

College Road Trip18 reviews
Michael Landes, Martin Lawrence

Walt Disney Video, 2008

A Fine, Fine Film
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Raven is a doll. Martin is Martin in a G-rated version. I like the way they interact and I am glad to see a movie with a clean-cut black family. I like the fact that there is a Mom and Dad that seem to love each other and their children. This movie can be related to by all families. It gives a person hope that there are still decent people living decent lives.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (Unrated Extended Edition)245 reviews
John Cho, Kal Penn

New Line Home Video, 2005

So wrong it's right - didn't expect to laugh so much
First of all, I'm not a stoner, and I'm a woman, and I don't think I'm supposed to like this movie - but I do. It is an off the wall adventure of two unlikely heroes who only want to get to a table at White Castle and enjoy hamburgers while high. It's not a family film in any way and if you're easily offended - this movie is not for you. If you're up for a raunchy, pushing all the limits ride ...

A film for only a few
Only Europeans or those vastly familiar with life in Europe will be able to appreciate the loveliness and humour of this film. So before anyone writes a negative review, please know that you need thorough knowledge and experience of life in Europe, especially France. There is no better life than the one in France. Come on down and see for yourself!!!
