Floortime DVD Training Series. Set 2 Sensory Regulation and Social Interaction

Very helpful for broadening live training.
Another reviewer seems to be looking for a quick fix which DIR/Floortime is anything but. DIR/Floortime is subtle yet very effective for many higher functioning ASD children. It takes quite a while to learn DIR/Floortime through observing professionals doing it. These DVDs help broaden training, but they are by no means a replacement for direct observation. I don't think they even intended these ...

The Out-of-Sync Child: DVD
I thought the DVD was pricey for the amount of information given. If you are already familiar with Sensory Processing, this DVD offers nothing new. Even if you are brand new to Sensory Processiong, save the money and just read her book or any of the other books out there. It will save you some $$$.

SENSORY INTEGRATION STRATEGIES
CreateSpace, 2007
Why can't Johnny sit still? Why does Jane spit out her food? Why is Jack so rough? Why does John grind his teeth? It's called Sensory Integration or Sensory Processing. Although everyone processes sensory information, we interpret sensory information differently from one another. Someone dragging their fingers across a chalkboard or certain food textures may bother one person, but not another. When the way a person interprets or processes ...

Bale is fantastic (as usual)
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It was intriguing and by far one of the most original plots I've watched. Bale and Diggs perform exceptionally well. I am off to watch it again!

Poor quality and not what I expected by the description
Basically, this is very LOW quality filming of an occupational therapy session. You cannot even hear what the OT is saying and the narrator provides very basic, useless information. I was hoping to get exercies ideas for my daughter with sensory issues to do and thought it would be more of a dvd for her to move along with the kids in the video. This is not at ALL what it is. I completely ...

Sensory System Preference
Arlene Taylor PhD
Realizations Inc, 2008
Neuro-Linguistic Programming has helped to increase awareness about the power of the senses. Indeed, humans relate to each other and the world through three main sensory systems: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Unimpaired the brain can process all types of sensory data, although it typically selects a "preference" by the age of 5 or 6. Do you know the type of sensory data that registers most quickly and intensely in your brain? This vital ...

Lewis classic elevated by fascinating commentary track
I decided to revisit H.G. Lewis recently. Not a big deal, actually, although I knew I was in trouble from the start with "Something Weird". Since I've already viewed and reviewed all of his horror films, at least the ones that really matter, I suspected I would find little to like with this decidedly non-horror entry. How could a non-horror film from the Godfather of Gore match up to the ...

Honest Film About A Southern Taboo
This movie was made in Savannah, Ga. If you saw Midnight In The Garden, you are already aware of the 'other' presence there of magic, obeah and other supernatural events. Ribisi is just incredible in this film. I really like this guy enormously. He gives 1000 percent in every performance. Ms. Blanchett shines as the gal with the gift. While the story is very over the top, all of the people ...

Bad directing, writing, wasting excellent actors
Wonderful actors wasted in a bad story. Carradine, a classic and great actor, had nothing to do, and Matt Schulze, a truly unique and intense performer, one to be reckoned with on the big screen, could not overcome the seemingly endless TV Cable-Movie-cliches of a sanity-challenged psychic cop. Lochlyn Munro deserves mention, also as a talented actor who deserves much better. Perhaps it looked ...

I Liked it!
I think the only reason I like this movie is because I haven't seen the Orignal. Most people who have seen the orginal and enjoyed it shouldn't even try to watch a re-make, not just for this film but any because no matter how good it was they'll hate it. I have to say I enjoyed all the re-makes so far. "The Grudge"; "One Missed Call" and so on and so forth. I also like these because I haven't ...

More than Science Fiction
This is a classic work that will be very difficult to view only once. I will not repeat the plot as many reviewers have, you get the idea if you've read all the reviews. No matter how many times I view Lathe, I find something new that can be drawn from the story. Even with the lack of video quality and dated effects, I can completely suspend my disbelief simply because the story is so ...
