Great Story
This was an absolute excellent movie. The story line was great. I liked the characters, the actors, and just everything. I give it 10 stars out of 5.

Predictable....Yes. Wonderful....You bet!
Yes, this movie is rather predictable, but when I want a family-friendly movie night, that is sort of what I am looking for. This a heart-warming film also falls more into the chick flick category, but can still be enjoyed by all. There are a couple elements that I thought were a little unrealistic, but all in all, it was a believable story and the dressage riding is very impressive. The ...

Glory Days....
Robert Duvall is the quenessential actor's actor. His ability to not only morph into any role but actually disappear entirely truly makes him a national treasure. However, for this 2000 release, he becomes an international treasure in the role of coach of a second tier Scottish football team. Duvalls weathered countenance is right at home among the equally grand and haggard Scottish ...

As silly as a Marx Brothers movie
While the Marx Brothers focuses less on sight gags and more on word play, this film reminds me of their films in many ways. It's an interesting comedy revolving around a military plot. A terrorist dictator is holding many Americans hostage, and only one man can lead the way to save them. That man is Topper Harley, who no longer wants to be a part of any war. He only fights for show now, ...

Great features and reproduction of the show
I was so happy that this DVD was uncensored and had extra scenes, extended versions, and never before scenes. It was great to be able to see some things I missed when I watched the show originally. In terms of extra stuff this DVD includes some great features. I highly recommend it. You will see that there is a lot more you can understand when it's not censored.

A Shot in the Dark
Bearing all the hilarious hallmarks of Edwards's Pink Panther films, this second entry in the popular series finds pratfall artist Sellers tumbling into a pond, warding off nocturnal judo attacks from assistant Kato (Burt Kwouk), and trying to bed the woman literally found holding a smoking gun. Sellers is at his nutty best, the ravishing Sommer is slyly seductive, and Herbert Lom gives his Chief ...

To hockey what "Bull Durham" is to baseball
Just one of those 'classic' sports movies. Aside from the 70s nostalgia, it's the fact that if you've ever worked or played in the minor leagues this movie will ring absolutely true. I finally burned out my old VHS version that I played every October when the NHL starts up. The names, the references, the laughs; even if you don't like hockey, "Slap Shot" can be appreciated for what it is - a look ...

And your to blame
This was really quite a well-made and compelling film. Set in 1992 Sarajevo, the film begins right before the region descended into war and ethnic cleansing. It follows two best friends, one Orthodox Serb, one Bosnian Muslim, who are both snipers for the Yugoslavian Olympic team. But with the break-up of the Yugoslav nation, there will be no Olympics for these brothers-in-arms, instead they will ...

A Bizarre Film about Bizarre People
The 1996 film "I Shot Andy Warhol" is a bizarre film based upon the true story of a bizarre woman named Valerie Solanas (Lili Taylor) who, in the late 1960's in Manhattan, became an acquaintance of the famous pop artist Andy Warhol (Jared Harris). Obsessed with misandry and blaming men for all of the world's problems, Valerie wrote a booklet advocating an anarchistic and violent revolution to be ...

A Benchmark for Spoofs
No spoof does it quite like this anymore. Hot Shots is a megaload of witty jokes that is easily taken for granted by most critics. Scripting for spoofs has changed dramatically overtime. Nowadays it seems as if these spoofs are written over the weekend. Back in the 90's people put a lot more time and effort into developing a winning comedy. If you watch the special features, you will find ...
