this is a great DVD
I would recommend this DVD to anyone that has children 6 months to 3 years old. I have a daughter that is 2 1/2 and has limited speech. She has learned the signs to many objects, thank's to these signing dvd and now she can communicate with me.

Granddaughters can sign
My granddaughters learn to sign before they can talk. A toddler who can tell you when they are hungry or thirsty is a lot happier than a child who can only scream.

Bravo! Well worth the $.
The entire Signing Time! and Baby Signing Time! series are wonderful. My daughter has a remarkable vocabulary for a 21 month old and I have to credit her favorite program with helping to improve our verbal communications. The series has helped her to speak wonderfully and not only say words but to understand them as well. We don't allow a great deal of TV programming but the Signing Time! ...

Signing Made Easy!: How to Talk to a Person Who Can't Hear15 reviews
Ray J, Joseph Forester

American Home Treas, 2000

This is a great beginner DVD
I really enjoyed viewing the DVD and find it is a good start for a beginner. The lessons progress in a logical manner and the ASL Alphabet is presented very well. If you do not learn the first time around, you can select the portion of the DVD to review over and over. Once you progress in ASL, the DVD becomes less useful, but still entertaining and helpful in understanding the Deaf culture.

My Baby Can Talk - First Signs179 reviews

Baby Hands Productions, 2004

It works--here's our story.
Our twelve-month-old wakes up in the morning and does the sign for dog as she says 'dog' and points up to the video shelf. Dog is her name for the video. These video's really work. She is starting the third video now and is using new signs every day. She tells us when she wants milk, is hungry, thirsty, in pain, needs a diaper change, as well as when she sees animals of all kinds. People ...

Excellent Videos
My 2 year has been viewing these videos for over a year now and still loves and requests to watch them. I can understand a critics point of view but these are small children were talking about. My child may not have needed to use some signs but she expanded her vocabulary ten fold and learned regardless of what was pratical and not pratical. My daughter goes to an early beginnings program and ...

One of the best Signing Time videos
My son has been obsessed with Signing Time since he started watching them on PBS at age 20 months. His language progress has never really been an issue, but he loves to sign anyway. We have the first seven DVDs and they are all great. "Family, Feelings, & Fun" has always been his favorite (mine, too!). Our other favorites are Vol. 7 (Leah's Farm) and Vol. 6 (Colors of the Rainbow). Enjoy!

Signing Time Season 2: Vols. 1-33 reviews

Signing Time, 2007

Hurray for new volumes!
Signing Time continues to WOW! Volume 2 editions: Move and Groove, Nice to Meet You, and Happy Birthday To You provide excellent progression for new vocabulary words, fantastic songs, and simple conversations. I love the learning concept of `ABC Time' that teaches pre-reading skills and `Counting Time' that teaches early math skills. As always, Signing Time emphasizes American Sign Language ...

Hours of learning and fun
We've been checking these out from the library for months and finally decided to purchase our daughter's favorites. Vol. 12 Time to Eat and Vol. 9 The Zoo Train. She knows well over 100 signs and is starting to put them together into short phrases. We started doing signs with her at 7 months and she is now 15 months. The songs on this DVD are memorable and not annoying to grownups. My husband and ...

Sign the animals
GREAT dvd! My 23 month old loves this dvd. Although he's not really talking he's learning the signs for the animals. I would say this dvd is more for older kids. For example, my son wouldn't know the differece between a chicken and a rooster at this age. Great idea to add the non-farm animals too. The songs are great and our entire family ends up humming on of the signing time songs!

Love it - Get it - Must Have!
I am an avid fan of Signing Time. My baby daughter and older kiddos watch and learn. This particular DVD just ROCKS!! The songs are great, the signs are terrific, especially learning the colors and foods. This one is a must have! I can't wait to start signing with my autistic nephew with all these new signs!
