Now this is the true Superman 2!
After the events of "Superman", a missle in space accidently unleashes three deadly kryptonian criminals named Non, Zod and Ursa (Jack O'Holloran, Terrence Stamp and Sarah Douglas) out of their phantom-zone prison as they head to Earth. Lois Lane (Margot Kidder) believes that Clark Kent is Superman and would do anything even if it's dangerous to Clark to prove he is Superman, later on he does ...

Better Than Expected
I'm not really sure why so many people disliked this movie. Frankly, I think people are expecting too much from animated movies these days. Now, if it had gone to theaters, I'd say that was another story. That would put it under closer scrutiny. But here some people were really unfair. Just read some of these reveiws! Of course it's true that Superman:Doomsday isn't perfect; no movie can ...

If you still have HD DVD, this is STILL the DEFINITIVE version of the movie.
For those of you who (like me, were format neutral, as in bought both HD DVD and Blu-ray.) still have HD DVD get this version! It's that the Blu-ray is missing special features, or the visual quality is worse (Most dual-format movies have the same encode.) but the audio quality is perfect! That's because it comes with a Dolby TrueHD track (which the Blu-ray version lacks.) and it is astounding. ...

Christopher Reeve as Superman
Christopher Reeve did a fantastic job in this series of movies. Obviously his legacy as an actor. He had big shoes to fill becoming the "new" Superman of the latter 20th century. How unfortunate we no longer have him in our lives and on the big screen.

AN EXHAUSTIVE SUPER SET OF THE MAN OF STEEL!
The name Reeves will forever be associated with the character of Superman. Strange enough there are two men with the last name Reeves that will forever be associated with the character of Superman. George Reeves made Superman a house hold name during the classic TV series 'The Adventures of Superman' and Christopher Reeves for bringing the "Man Of Steel" to the big screen. The expanded version ...

R.I.P. Christopher Reeves.
Can there ever be another Superman. No. Reeves will always be the man of steel no matter how many times Hollywood tries to remake the movie. The acting is just so so. But we didn't see this movie for the acting. We saw it to see what Superman could do. What couldn't he do? Awesome story, awesome FX for it's time. A brilliant movie and a must see/must own.

thoughrly enjoyed
Superman - The 1948 & 1950 Theatrical Serials Collection This was a excellently presented package we really enjoyed it. Although it could of had a bit more on the extras side of things as not many people realise there was a Superman show before George Reeves it would have been good to see some interviews & archival material from the time . Overall we loved it .

Superman vol 3
"Lois, help! It's worse than kryptonite. My legs can't support this obscenely large hulking torso, when they draw me like this. It was so much easier in the Filmation days, when I had an even build." "I know, Clark. They draw me like a stick insect midget. You look like the Hulk by comparison." The only other disappointment in this series is that kryptonite needn't exist. Just about everything ...

Superman Flies Higher In Volume Two
Further proof of my shame of not viewing this series when it was originally on air, Volume 2 features some of my favorite episodes. It features the three parter which really turned me on to the series and that was "World's Finest" which was (if memory serves me correct) was Batman's first appearance since his original series run ended around 1995. Around this time, they were making the re-vamp ...

Best. Superman. Ever.
`The Adventures of Superman' (TAS) was made under difficult circumstances: almost no time, almost no money, and no CGI. Yet three things make TAS a timeless classic: 1) The recurring cast members were all superb, especially George Reeves as Superman. Reeves played the part with just the right combination of intelligence, righteousness, manliness, and, when necessary, gentleness. A WWII vet ...

super!!!
I must say the same I said for Superman Third and Fourth seasons. I like the character of Superman, but also the other ones. I like the stories, the settings, the guest actors and even the settings. Moreover the price for the pack is quite reasonable and the quality of the image is very good, if you think of all the years that have passed since its original release on TV.

Perhaps the best Superman ever
With a quality of animation heads and shoulders above anything done today, these 40s Superman cartoons are in many ways the definitive Superman. Watch him fight art-deco robots in a city the looks more like Fritz Lang's Metropolis than anything that ever existed. the episodes are short without much of a plot but the visuals are second to none.

I bought season 1 and 2 here in Barcelona, but I was told the following ones may not appear here, so I decided to buy them through amazon. I'm very happy I did because I enjoyed all the episodes very much. I think this is the best Superman ever, although I haven't seen the previous ones. I think all the characters are wonderful, not only Superman himself. By the way, it's been cheaper to buy ...
