Scooby-Doo and the Samurai Sword9 reviews
Frank Welker, Casey Kasem

Warner Home Video, 2009

Great movie for kids!
My 3 year old and my 5 year old love this movie. Anything Scooby Doo is great by them! Buy this and you will probably laugh a few times with your kids. My son started Karate, this really gave him a smile when he saw Scooby and Shaggy doing karate like he does. Won't let you down.

Constantine's Sword27 reviews
Philip Bosco, Natasha Richardson

FIRST RUN FEATURES, 2008

A Christianity not of the Sword
It's a testimony to James Carroll's brilliance that in the course of a 90-minute documentary he manages to weave together three distinct themes, showing how the personal and the political are related, and how the stories we tell can change everything - including our most fundamental beliefs. The documentary's first thread is personal. Carroll's father was an important general during the Cold ...

The Sword and the Sorcerer52 reviews
Lee Horsley, Kathleen Beller

Starz / Anchor Bay, 2001

Sword and the sorcerer
The movie was a good one, however even the lowest asking price is too expensive. The movie is almost 30 years old and is not worth more than 10.00 at the most. Would not buy it here.

Legend of the Shadowless Sword
Great Korean film. I like it more because it does not come dub in English. A great film for those who love marial art films.

When the Last Sword Is Drawn26 reviews
Kiichi Nakai, Kôichi Satô

Fox Lorber, 2005

One of the best movies of the decade
The scenery, the acting and the story reminds me of Lawrence of Arabia. While not quite the epic, the movie is unbelievably moving. It made me laugh, it made me cry. The incredible sense of loss and continuing doom coupled with glimpses of hope. Historically accurate, it traces the last days of the Japanese Shogunate. Our main characters are part of a mercenary Samurai group sworn to protect ...

Seven Swords [Blu-ray]13 reviews
Donnie Yen, Master Lau Kar-Leung

Vivendi Entertainment, 2010

A Very Standard Hong Kong Sword Fantasy Movie - Nothing Wrong with That!
If you love Hong Kong sword fantasy film, you should consider this. It has Donnie Yen and Leon Lai, and the action is decent enough. But if you had to just choose 5 sword fantasy movies, I'd go with "Hero," the first "Stormriders," "The Duel," "Red Cliff" (get the Blu ray version as it contains both parts 1 and 2) and of course "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon." If you just know Donnie Yen and ...

Samurai Swordmanship Vol. 1: Basic Sword Program by Masayuki Shimabukuro8 reviews
Masayuki Shimabukuro

Bayview Entertainment/Widowmaker, 2008

A review by an average joe.
Okay, so I'd had a couple of swords hanging on my wall for a while now. Both very good and combat ready, but I didn't know the first thing about how to use 'em. Yeah, we've all seen the Samurai movies, and those guys make it look so easy, right? However, I'm not gonna start swinging around a sharp blade without first learning something about it. So I thought this was a solid investment. After ...

Krod Mandoon & The Flaming Sword of Fire10 reviews
Sean Mcguire, Matt Lucas

Comedy Central, 2010

Laughter that makes your tummy hurt
If you want to laugh, this is the movie to own. All the actors and actresses do an excellent job. Funny funny funny. They talked about a "Krod Moandoon" for this coming season, but I haven't seen it yet. I wished they would step on it and get it done.

This Movie is smokin' Hot

Sword of Sherwood Forest5 reviews
Richard Greene, Sarah Branch

Sony Pictures, 2010

very enjoyable
Well worth a viewing is this nicely-done ROBIN HOOD film with Richard Greene and Peter Cushing. New and fresh locations, excellent sets and photography and a typically polished Hammer production all contribute to make this film very entertaining. The acting is credible all the way through, the only disappointment being a rather lacklustre leading lady. But fine English thespians more than ...

Sword of the Stranger37 reviews
Yûki Chinen, Tomoya Nagase

Bandai, 2009

Superb Anime
I can't speak for the special features, since I haven't checked them out just yet. PLOT (no spoilers): Pretty standard fare. A nameless swordsman must protect an innocent boy against the hostile battlefield of two warring factions. The main antagonist group consists of an elite bunch of highly-skilled Chinese warriors who feel no pain, at the head of which is a mysterious blonde swordsman ...

Sword of Gideon18 reviews
Steven Bauer, Michael York

Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, 2004

Very intense drama
Sword of Gideon is a story of revenge by a team of Israeli spies on the perpetrators of the 1972 massacre during the Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. Speilberg's movie Munich is a poor remake of the Sword of Gideon. I disagree with other reviewers who call this a poor man's Munich. This show tells the story much better and does not need the gore and blood to do it. Plus Spielberg's treatment ...

Sword of Honour7 reviews
Will Adamsdale, Nick Bartlett

Acorn Media, 2006

As realistic a war story as Evelyn Waugh's book is his semi-autobigraphical war story
Evelyn Waugh, writer of "Brideshead Revisited" and other books, never failed to weave the bitter in with the honey. Life can become the unexpected but never the uneventful in his tales. This film is about as true to a book as a movie can get. Any book adaptation has to leave something out even though they did spend over 3 hours (193 min) telling the story in this film version. Excellent British ...
