Badly marketed on release...this is a smart thriller
The movie "Venom" is not so much a scary monster movie as it is an intelligent and involving thriller. In fact the black mamba (reportedly the worlds deadliest snake) has very little screen time and serves merely as a device to move along the plot and raise the tension level of a household held hostage by ciminals and under siege by police. The plot concerns a small band of criminals (a ...

Before "Spider-Man 3", there was the animated Venom saga!

When it attacks John as they approach Earth the ship crash lands by the river of New York, a large muscular man in a Rhino outfit named The Rhino steals the space rock from the ship with Peter Parker's rival Eddie Brock taking pictures ...
House of Traps *Shaw Brothers* Remastered Edition DVD

Typical venom flick but worth watching
I am a serious fan of the kung fu genre aspecially the Shaw Brothers,I first saw this movie about 20 years ago and up until now this was one of the hardest films to find. The action is up to par with what you can expect from a Shaw Brothers film staring the venoms not over run with fight scenes but enough to keep you satified. This film has all of the venoms on hand except Lo Meng, it's well ...

A Gory Slasher Flick
Ray Sawyer (Rick Cramer), Agnes Bruckner (Eden), Laura Ramsey (Rachel), Jonathan Jackson (Eric), and D.J. Cotrana (Sean) star in this scary and bloody slasher movie. Eric and Eden are going through any typical teen romance; going steady one minute, broken up the next. Eden works at a local truck stop as a waitress. One evening, Ray pulls into the truck stop to get some food. Known as the ...

BUY THIS EDITION!! RED SUN VERSION
Fully restored and anamorphic widescreen. Unlike the crappy bootleg copies others sell on Amazon, the picture looks great. The only negative I can see is that it doesn't have the original Chinese language track with English subtitles, but that doesn't really matter to me because I like the English Language track better. Old-School King-Fu movies, especially Shaw brothers are better enjoyed ...

Great movie, buy the bootleg and zip your pie hole
This non-Celestial pictures DVD is the best!! I LOVE SUPPORTING LOW DOWN PIRATES looking to make a quick buck, or even a slow one for that matter. Quite frankly the savings are passed on to the customer and everyone wins. I would make this movie on my DVD burner at home and sell it for $3 on amazon if I could and I would even throw in bonus footage of myself in ninja gear rocking out to Holy ...

At last!!!!!!!
I waited over 15 years to have an opportunity to see this movie again. And I still could not take my eyes off of the screen. This movie is perfection, sheer perfection. I saw martial arts that didn't seem humanly posssible. The fight scenes are so intricate and choreographed. I saw professional dancers not martial arts experts. I was truly wowed!!!

If it only didn't have that ONE scene...
This series is pretty good. It's not spectacular, but it'll keep you entertained. I liked the DVD as a whole, but there's one scene where two people have sex, not rape (which happens often), in the movie. It was pointless sex. But the series starts and ends pretty good. I recommmend this to someone who needs something to keep them from being bored.

A must buy if you like old school kung fu films.
One of my favorite kung fu films as a child. Pretty good fighting scenes for the time. Pretty good story for the time period that it came out in. The sets and torture devices look very good for that time period. Watch this film if you want a violent hardcore kung fu film.

THE WORST DVD EVER RELEASED
This dvd is the worst i have ever had the misfortune to pay for. The picture quality looks like the lowest grade pirate rip-off you have ever seen x100. The sound only comes out of one speaker !! I own some very obscure films from cheap-jack dvd companies, who could care less about the quality of what they put out, but this dvd is so far beyond atrocious that i am unable to watch what i have paid ...

Good for kids.
My boys like it, and unlike so many other movies out there, it is clean. There is action, but not gory violence. As one of ny sons put it, "There's no blood and no real bullets -- everybody just shoots a bunch of lasers and then they karate fight." (That's fine, he likes karate fights.) Also, a lot of robots get blown up.

On Saturday, October 29, 2005, the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, was home to an outstanding IWR professional wrestling card, which was a celebration of the Lucha Libre mat science. Finally Venom live on DVD!!!!
After watching this show for about a 100 times on video ( under the name: Alive in '85 ) I'm still glad that it is released on DVD! Great sound and picture quallity, and a great show of the world's only true Black Metal band. I'm following these guys now for about 20 years, and they are still the best band in the world!!! The only bad thing on this DVD is the discography; it's all wrong! And so is ...
