In One Word: Wow!
I'm a guy who normally doesn't watch a lot of melodramas, but this film just stunned me....in every capacity. When it was over, all I could mutter was "wow!" It makes me want to know more about Piaf. In addition to the great cinematography, the story was terrific, an extremely powerful one. I can't believe how mesmerizing Marion Cotillard was in the lead role of "Edith Piaf." "Props" also ...

100+ Words on a truly great movie!
Not to get into the whole "Clerks" which movie was better argument here, but I always liked "Return of The Jedi" better then "Empire Strikes Back". The reason I love "Jedi" is that within this film you get everything that you saw in the first two within one movie. The amazing opening act at Jabba's palace and the skiff battle. Luke becoming a Jedi master on Degobah. Then the amazing third act. ...

MOST COMPREHENDIBLE KJV IN THE WORLD!!
Way to go when you want to know the KJV Bible. I first bought this DVD in "2005" and started from Genesis and did not skip a page and was able to stay with it all the way to Revelation. Though I still don't understand the entire bible , I comprehend over 85%more than when I was just reading the paper/hand bible. Well, a few months ago it was damaged in transit and I had to skip the effected ...

The best you can find of it's type!
This product is the best of it's type that you can get today. If you want the King James Version (even if you prefer others) and if you adore the voice of Alexander Scourby, then you will be very enriched with this product. It is not perfect, but it does an excellent job of going through the text of the Bible with understanding and clairty. It is NOT software so don't expect it to behave ...

Scacchi and Finney positively make this Browning Version!
Having seen Terrence Rattigan's play performed live several times,as well as having seen the original 1951 film adaptation, director Mike Figgis has scored a real triumph with Greta Scacchi and Albert Finney in the roles of Laura and Andrew Crocker-Harris.The play itself is not IMO the most lively of stories, nor certainly the finest play yet written, but what Scacchi and Finney bring to the table ...

HOT!
Sex, nakedness & rock music - what else could you want? I thought this movie was simple - it cut through all the filler you normally find in porn movies - unnecessary dialog, weak storyline etc... it go straight to the point - this is a movie about SEX & ROCK & ROLL & they abound :) I thought the sex scenes were excellent, there was real chemistry between the leads & they looked like they ...

What a Gem
Tinto Brass presents 5 short stories and each one gets hotter. Each one has a different story line and location but definitly knows how to keep your interest. The last story in addition to blowing my mind with the beauty of the girl, has a twist at the end. The girl is super hot and the background music from the store dressing room stayed with me a long time. One of Tinto's best!

This one a long time have I watched
I remember going to see THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK for the first time in 1980. I was 5 years old. I remember hearing the voice of Yoda and exclaiming, "That's Grover!" (i.e. Sesame Street). And it was (Frank Oz). THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK has always been my favorite of the original trilogy. I think it must be because the movie slows down alot. I love the action and excitement as much as the ...

The Browning Version
Asquith's mournful, utterly absorbing ensemble drama was adapted by Terence Rattigan from his own play. Redgrave, in one of his greatest screen performances, is magnificent, communicating both the unrelenting severity and turbulent inner sadness of Crocker-Harris--who keeps a stiff upper lip about Millie's infidelities, the headmaster's disrespect for his years of service, and his own failed ...
Classic Robinson Crusoe Film DVD: 1927 Film Version of The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson ...
Quality Information Publishers Inc., 2006
M.A. Wetherell wrote, directed and starred in this 1927 silent film. This is a rare DVD copy of this vintage movie. Wetherell (who later created extreme publicity over Loch Ness Monster photos in the 1930s) plays Robinson Crusoe, the hero of Daniel Defoe's 1719 novel about a shipwrecked English sailor who, by virtue of his own ingenuity, survives for years on a small tropical island.

A welcome Surprise.
Spawned from a series that was basically a rehash of Batman The Animated Series, without any notable villians, we have a movie with all the class and style of both the Batman Beyond series and the fourth season of Batman the Animated Series. I bought it a little leery about how it was going to be, but read reviews saying that it was amazing. And that, it was. Surprises and backstory, with answers ...

A strange and beautiful movie
The Dreamers is a very unusual movie, telling the story of a pair of French twins, Isabelle and Theo (Eva Green & Louis Garrel), who invite an American student, Matthew (Michael Pitt) to stay with them in their Paris apartment. Attracted to them first by a shared interest in the cinema, Matthew is soon drawn into the twins' incestuous relationship. To gain a full appreciation of the movie, ...

Korea DVD Imports RULE! So does this "Ed Wood Meets Wagner" Macbeth
Any Wells lover who may be wondering whether this is a gray market washout and worth avoiding in favor of some Criterion future thing or other, relax and trust in the power of Korea to do a good job. The subtitles are removeable and the soundtrack is the original and amazingly clear. I had the old Republic VHS tape and it was rough going understanding around 30% of what was said, but I could hear ...

Restoring hope
I was born in April of 1972. My earliest memory is of the Bicentennial celebrations. I seem to remember watching people playing around with fireworks at our neighbor's house. But I'm not 100% sure these memories are accurate. The first memory I know for sure is accurate is seeing "Star Wars" in 1977. This was back when it was just "Star Wars". Not "Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope". No, it ...

John Waters-Master Of Trasho
After 30+ years in the movie making buisness, John Waters still has his finger on the pulse(or other areas of the body) of sexual boundries. "Pink Flamingos" defined trasho. "A Dirty Shame" helps to continue its legacy. And just in case you thought Mr. Waters had tackled every taboo there is, just ponder this thought: he has a Christmas movie coming out in late 2008. Run for your lives(with glee)!

An absolute classic! Still holds up strikingly well.
It's difficult to look back on a film "classic" and try to review it through today's eyes...35 years later. It's always tempting to say, "Those effects were great...for 1973" or "imagine how that affected an audience...three decades ago." You almost feel like you have to make excuses for the film. But I am happy to report that in a very recent, pre-Halloween viewing, THE EXORCIST has ...
