Masada - The Complete Epic Mini-Series88 reviews
Peter O'Toole, Peter Strauss

Koch Vision, 2007

Powerful Historical Drama - Recommended!
Much more than a costume drama, very powerful movie! I was a teenager when Masada aired as a mini-series back in the early 1980s and bought the movie to show my teenage children who are now studying Roman history. While some of the historical "facts" may be in question, the portrayal of 70 AD period Roman and Jewish life and politics is captured in fantastic detail and brought to life by a ...

The South Beach Diet Super Charged Workout22 reviews
Dr. Arthur Agatston, Dr. Joseph Signorile

Koch Vision, 2008

Answered a lot of questions the first book left open
I love the South Beach diet, but I have never been able to get off of Phase 1. Super Charged definitely addresses taking that next step very clearly. The exercise section in the book is fantastic. It really breaks down the whole idea of "interval training". What is it? Why is it effective? etc. The exercise section also takes it slow to help you build confidence and a strong foundation in ...

A Haunting in Connecticut3 reviews
Narrated by Tony Call

Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, 2008

Another great one from Discovery Channel's Hauntings
I also love this one, just as much as a Haunting in Ga. like my other review. This one is the scarier of the two, though they both are pretty scary. I actaully read the book it's based on (In a Dark Place) in H.S. needless to say, it scared the HELL out of me! So, I'll let you guess how scary the documentary is! This one like a Haunting in Ga., also has real characters and a great story line. ...

Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre: The Complete Collection11 reviews
Shelley Duvall, Robin Williams

KOCH Vision, 2008

ENCHANTED WORLDS COME TO LIFE AND DREAMS COME TRUE IN COMPLETE "FAERIE TALE THEATRE" COLLECTION
Once Upon a Time (in 1980), Shelley Duvall went to the isle of Malta to work on the film "Popeye." There, she also conceived the idea for "Faerie Tale Theatre." "Popeye" has long since been forgotten, but Duvall's unique live-action faerie tale anthology series (originally produced for Showtime Cable Network) has endured beautifully. The New York Times praised "Faerie Tale Theatre" as "a ...

Ghost Hunters - The Complete First Season89 reviews
Keith Johnson (XIV), Carl Johnson (VIII)

Big Vision, 2005

Ghost Hunters Season 1
I love the Ghost Hunters, it is one of my fav shows!!! I've seen on tv the last 2 years but not the beggining, it is neat how they went from a small trailor to a buisness place. They are really cool at what they do, and it's cool how some of the business they prove that there wasn't anything haunted!! I am going to get the rest rest on dvds!!! Love the Ghost Hunters, they are the coolist!!!

Ghost Hunters: Season 4 - Part 1 (3pc)6 reviews
Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson

BIG VISION, 2008

The forerunner in Paranormal Reality TV
Obviously one of (if not the best) reality show on TV. Plenty of action in a very interesting field. The guys and gals are great and the team of Steve and Tango work really well--sometimes adding laughs during a serious investigation--A must see for anybody even remotely interested in ghosts or life after death.

Peter & Paul DVD64 reviews
Anthony Hopkins

Vision Video, 2002

superb video
This is a wonderful film, superbly written and very well acted. It gives an idea of what it may have been like for the leaders of the early church, including the politics involved. I highly recommend it.

The Christmas Collection15 reviews
Christmas Collection

St Clair Vision, 2005

A wonderful collection!
This collection is marvelous! It contains many of the Christmas shows I remember from my childhood, and I even discovered a few wonderful shows that I had missed. The DVD format is great. I had a great time playing these shows for my children this season. Many of them were also the perfect length for playing on our DVD player in our van when we were driving to various holiday events and ...

Ballet Shoes12 reviews
Emma Watson, Eileen Atkins

Koch Vision, 2008

Enjoyable film, well-adapted from classic story
I really enjoyed Ballet Shoes. I am a big fan of the original novel by Noel Streatfield and so I was nervous about seeing the film version, afraid that too much would be changed, but instead it is wonderfully true to the book and really makes the story come to life in a whole new way. The characters were delightful, spot-on to the book, and the acting was well done. Overall, I would absolutely ...

Koch Vision and Soundstage presents "HEART LIVE" (2008) (110 mins/Color) (Dolby digitally remastered) --- Now, an astonishing three decades later, the gals are back and better than ever. Vision Quest70 reviews
Matthew Modine, Linda Fiorentino

Warner Home Video, 2004

Best wrestling movie ever (but we all know Chute would have won)
This is easily the best wrestling movie ever made, and it will probably never be topped. Louden Swain (Matthew Modine in a role he'll never top) is a high school senior on the wrestling team. By all accounts his life is relatively normal for a rural community. School, work, wrestling practice, friends, and helping around the house are daily occurrences. It is only when he decides to take on ...

Byzantium: The Lost Empire21 reviews
John Romer

Koch Vision, 2007

Superb (instant favorite) documentary. Excellence in writing, narative, set, cultural value
First night I received the DVD set I stayed wathing this 208 min long documentary till 2 AM in the morning. Presenter, John Romer, is probably the best presenter of the documentaries I have ever seen on TV. His tells the stories of the greatest cultural and historical value in a lyrical, enaging personal style making you wanting to watch the whole documentary all in one viewing. Being ...

Touch of Evil (Restored to Orson Welles' Vision)156 reviews
Joe Basulto, Joseph Calleia

Universal Studios, 2000

"Touch of Evil" presented in its three different variations with actor commentary
Over looked when it was released (except in France where it won awards and critical praise), "Touch of Evil" was Orson Welles' last major studio project as writer-director-star. When the original director bowed out, Welles (supported by star Charlton Heston)asked for the chance to write and direct the film. Welles' revamped Paul Monash's screenplay, recast Heston as a Mexican offical and ...

Dresden18 reviews
Felicitas Woll, John Light

Koch Vision, 2008

should have been on the big screen...
"Dresden" may have been a made as a TV mini-series, but it was clearly budgeted with formidable dollars behind it. The result is a film that looks and feels like a theatrical release and frankly, would have played well on 'the big screen'. Camparable to a film like The English Patient, the story line is dual layered (love during war) and is not necessarily 'new', but it draws you in and ...

Ghost Hunters: Season 3-Part 226 reviews
Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson

Big Vision, 2008

Good Stuff
I think this is some great stuff to watch and it makes me want to get out there and ghost hunt myself. Although I'd probably run at the first sign of anything creepy. I love the way these guys make everything come "down to earth" instead of hyping it up. The only thing that stinks about this is the packaging. You have to constantly take all discs out to keep them in order as you view them.
