The Happening109 reviews
Mark Wahlberg, John Leguizamo

20th Century Fox, 2008

Pretty good
This movie wasn't bad. Not the greatest, but not bad. Walburg was good, as usual. It wasn't a deep movie, but the cast was good and they did the best they could with the script. The premise wasn't that great, I mean, it could happen maybe, but not probable. But, it was entertaining.

You Don't Mess With the Zohan (Unrated Single-Disc Edition)63 reviews
Sandler, Turturro

Sony Pictures, 2008

Scrappy Cocoa!
I don't understand the negative reviews on this movie. Do people actually take movies like this seriously? Whatever, this was the best comedy I've seen since "Taladega Nights" and that's alot of comedies in between. I was falling out of my seat laughing half the time. Honestly I'm not even a big Adam Sandler fan, I only like a few of his movies. If you like good stupid humor that actually ...

The Visitors52 reviews
Pierre Aussedat, Frédéric Baptiste

Miramax, 2001

French Comedy at its BEST
I love this movie. The French make a lot of great movies, and of different styles, action, thriller, comedy - you name it. This movie represents the some of the best of French comedy. A Knight and his servant are accidentally sent into the future, where they find the descendants of the Knight. Their oafish and crude ways, viewed by the modern relatives are hilarious, and the medieval ...

Visitor Q77 reviews
Kenichi Endo, Shungiku Uchida

Tokyo Shock, 2002

Miike's best film, simply incredible
Yes, Audition is masterful, but in my opinion this is Miike's best work. The less you know about this movie the better. Yes, its sick and twisted, but its also an incredibly heartwarming family film, and no, I'm not being sarcastic. The fact that Miike can make these two elements coexist and actually work is an accomplishment in itself. I've never seen a movie so funny and shocking as this. ...

Menotti - Amahl and the Night Visitors23 reviews
Menotti, Kuhlmann

Video Artists Int'l, 2007

Very complete
excellent quality. The content is excellent too, with an insight of what was happening behind the stage from the mother's point of view, is where you really start knowing what happens in the real world, also I liked the chorus that was a bonus.

Night Visitor6 reviews
Kathleen Bailey, Jovanni Brascia

MGM (Video & DVD), 2005

This film will take you by total surpise.
"Night Visitor" is one of those strange little underrated CULT films that incorporates a tremendous amount of sickness with a limited amount of blood. This movie is packed with familiar character actors (Elliott Gould, Richard Roundtree, Shannon Tweed, Allen Garfield, Michael J. Pollard and Henry Gibson, just to name a few) and relies on strong storyline and performances instead of gore. Allen ...

Alien Visitor13 reviews
Ullie Birve, Syd Brisbane

Miramax, 2000

Alien Visitor
This is a thoughtful film, that, in addition to the communication between the man and the woman, uses the beautiful Australian outback to emphasize the message. Yes, it has a strong environmental message, and at the end, an excellent speech is given about man's coming together to fight wars to right perceived wrongs, but as we continue to despoil the earth....we have yet to come together to ...

Visitor Q4 reviews

Red Sun, 2002

Some people should not watch/review Miike films!
If you are a moralistic bore, who was offended by Little Miss Sunshine (as apparently many were) DON'T watch this film. If you enjoy the early films of John Waters and enjoy being jolted and even disturbed by over the top violent humor, then I say 'what are you waiting for?'

The Station Agent143 reviews
Peter Dinklage, Paul Benjamin

Miramax, 2004

When Three Friends Collide
`The Station Agent' is one of those rare movies that lingers through your memory long after having watched it. Not since `Lars and the Real Girl' have I felt this way about a quirky independent film where you fall in love with the characters and marvel at the warmth and eccentricity they elicit. The movie starts with Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage, `In Bruges') a dwarf (at least that's the ...
